
It’s no surprise the Bloc Quebecois voted with the Liberals on Monday to maintain the federal carbon tax on home heating. Of course, they did.
Quebecers don’t pay the federal carbon tax. That province has its own made-in-Quebec carbon-pricing scheme, so voting to continue imposing the Liberals’ system on the rest of the country had no consequences for Quebecers, and thus few political consequences for the Bloc.
