Hitler’s speeches to be put online to show power of propaganda

All the speeches Adolf Hitler made as chancellor will be available online for the first time under a project by a German research consortium.

In a process expected to take seven years, researchers will collect and analyse all of Hitler’s speeches delivered between 1933 and 1945. The aim, they say, is to move the academic focus away from Mein Kampf and provide a better insight into the dictator’s use of propaganda during his years in power. Hitler delivered a total of 1,525 speeches from 1919 to 1945.
