A con woman dubbed the “Gucci Goddess” has pleaded guilty to swindling the US Army out of $108 million to buy dozens of homes and luxury cars, in one of the biggest fraud cases the military has seen.
Janet Yamanaka Mello, 57, allegedly created a fake company to siphon US government funds intended for the children of army personnel, according to prosecutors.
