The Great British Intelligence Test was meant to be a bit of fun. Adam Hampshire, then at Imperial College, worked with the BBC to give a 30-minute test to 80,000 people. The broadcasters Michael Mosley and Hannah Fry had been drafted in to present the results, which would reveal, among other things, how our “changing lifestyle could be affecting our brain function”.
