Blessed are not the Cheesemakers … Hot cross bun flavoured cheese is an attack on symbolism of Easter, Christians warn

A hot cross bun flavoured cheese has “lost the symbolism” of Easter, Christians have warned.

Morrisons has launched a new cheddar for the religious holiday, which is flavoured with traditional bun ingredients of cinnamon, blueberries and raisins.

The Hot Cross Bun Cheese, which is being sold for £1.25 per 100g at the supermarket’s deli counters, has provoked bemusement among the Christian community.
