Move over graduation season, it’s camping season at University of Toronto.
But camping without a permit.
It’s 10 PM and surprise surprise U of T caves.

UofT says protesters must stop by 10 p.m.
In handouts to protesters on the lawn, the university told students that they must stop protesting by 10 p.m. The consequences of not doing so were not made clear.
The university, in its handout, also noted that no hate speech or discriminatory language would be tolerated, no structures — including tents — could be erected, and no fires or excessive noise would be allowed.

A really good read on the U of T “protest” by a Prof. To my shock very few actual students are involved.
A short note on the encampment that’s now set up here in Toronto @UofT. I snuck into it today (I told them I was a fellow comrade who’d stepped out to get a cig – not exactly crack security). I think it’s only fair to talk to the folks and see what’s going on before judging. 1/x
