On average, at least 17 vehicles are being stolen each day in Brampton and Mississauga, despite a crackdown on auto theft.
That adds up to 537 vehicles reported stolen in the area between May 8 and June 8 this year, with just eight cases listed as solved, according to Peel police crime statistics.
