Tommy Robinson faces a huge bill for unpaid tax in a battle with HM Revenue & Customs over his funding.
The campaigner, branded an “armchair thug” by Yvette Cooper, the home secretary, is in dispute over whether money he received can be classified as tax-exempt donations.
If he fails to persuade the taxman, he will be asked to pay a significant amount in back tax.
