“Globalize the Intifada!” is one of the slogans of pro-Palestinian organizations in the United States. We now see what it means as a brutal pogrom fouls the streets of Amsterdam. Just ponder this description of events in the biggest Dutch city last night:
What we know so far is that [Maccabi Tel Aviv] fans were ambushed, six are reported missing, attackers were armed with clubs and knives, Israelis were thrown into rivers and run over by cars, their passports was stolen and published online, fathers walking with their children were attacked by mobs, women were beaten in the streets, many beaten unconscious, two emergency planes have been dispatched from Ben Gurion airport to evacuate citizens immediately, the local authorities are overwhelmed …
Mainstream media is dead silent.

Earlier, video shared on social media in the lead up to the football match showed the visitors were shouting “F— Palestine” and tearing down Palestinian flags.

Hundreds of Maccabi supporters gathered at the National Monunment in Dam Square, with police making several arrests in the area for breach of peace.
Video shared on social media shows Israeli supporters pulling down a Palestinian flag in central Amsterdam as tensions rose before and after the match.
The hooded figures are heard making chanting ‘f*** you Palestine’, and anti-Arab slogans can also be heard in the footage.
Later in the night, video circulated of masked attackers, some reportedly speaking Arabic, chasing down Israeli fans in the city.
One video shows a man being dragged by his coat, with the person taking the video swearing at him and shouting statements in support of Gaza.

The attacks came after arrests and trouble between Maccabi fans and pro-Palestinian protesters on the city’s Dam Square before the match between Maccabi and Amsterdam team Ajax.
There were unconfirmed reports of Israeli supporters setting off fireworks and tearing down a Palestinian flag on a nearby street. Dutch politicians have reacted with anger.
