
MPs who’ve been looking into Canada’s role in fostering peace in the Middle East will have their work cut out for them as they prepare a final report after a contentious study that saw witnesses shunned and disinvited.
The committee, which is chaired by Liberal MP Ali Ehsassi (Willowdale, Ont.), held four meetings in October and November to look at the ways Canada can advance recognition of a State of Palestine as part of a two-state solution.
