Aye Aye that face hangs a jib!
Welcome to the 3 am rinse the eye and lubricant application hour.
I made THAT CAT take this pic as payback for the bite before feeding him this AM and he responded with his usual enthusiasm. He wants to shred the bath curtain.
The left side droop is a bit less pronounced at the time this photo was taken though that is how it appears whenever I have slept. However I believe some muscle under the chin has bounced back. But now the right side of the face is affected as it can’t work in unison with muscles on the left side. Eating remains a semi-dangerous self-inflicted bite adventure, of course it probably wasn’t smart to purchase nacho’s and dip. I’ll stick to soup. Still no left side taste sensation and the left eyebrow remains flat-lined though the camera angle disguises that a bit. I can open & close the eye-lid to a limited extent after first kickstarting it manually.
I have taken the last of the 5, COUNT EM 5, Prednisone steroid pills and think Aleve may be suitable as an anti-inflammatory replacement.
In the background, a photo of the Gardner museum courtyard in Boston. Just go. Even a semi-neanderthal like myself had a wonderful time when K took us there.
Well that is the state of the Bell’s Palsy Pirate after one week. I will check in with a recommended local walk in clinic just after the two week mark.
I hope to be whole for Christmas, if not I can still suck on stuffing while X eats the bird.
Thank you all and please thank Sarcasticat for keeping it all together. That’s Xavier pretending to be a non-shower curtain shredding cat.
