Two Just Stop Oil protesters have sprayed paint on Charles Darwin’s grave at Westminster Abbey.
Alyson Lee, 66, and Di Bligh, 77, covered the memorial using orange paint with a message that said “1.5 is dead!” at around 10am on Monday morning.
It is a reference to reports last week that 2024 was the hottest year on record and the first to breach a key global warming threshold of 1.5C above pre-industrial temperatures.
