An alum of Goldman Sachs and former head of the Bank of England, Carney has been heralded by Canada’s dominant centre-left voices in the media as a national saviour. If he were a black woman or transgender, one wouldn’t have been surprised to see shrines and worship services to the Great Leader take place during his campaign.
