STIRLING: There’s something suspicious about Mark Carney’s rush to pass C-5

By the time you read this, Bill C-5 may already have been rammed through Parliament, as the deadline set by the Liberal government in an unusual motion was to limit debate to just 5 days — meaning they want the bill passed by June 20, 2025, then sent to Senate for approval.

Retired energy economist and former public servant, Robert Lyman, has raised red flags. Though lots of people think Bill C-5 — ‘An Act to enact the Free Trade and Labour Mobility in Canada Act and the Building Canada Act’ — is about expediting pipelines, based on what I reveal herein, it is more about vacuuming out your wallet.
