The moment a female police officer was left sobbing and bleeding after being punched in the face during a brawl at Manchester Airport, was shown today in court.
Constable Lydia Ward told of being ‘terrified’ after coming under attack – as new police footage of the incident was entered in evidence.
She was one of three officers who went to arrest Mohammed Fahir Amaaz at Terminal Two last July.
This video of PC Lydia Ward, after being punched at Manchester airport, raises serious questions regarding women being front line police officers.
Yes, it was a violent and despicable attack, but doesn't this highlight major flaws in our policing ability?

Not kicked enough.
Manchester Airport brawl from last year.
Brothers Mohammed Fahir Amaaz and Muhammad Amaad allegedly assaulted cops after a Starbucks scuffle—punching, headbutting, even breaking a female officer's nose. The viral clip showed police fighting back hard, but fuller CCTV reveals… pic.twitter.com/GeQQACpnxr
