Court action threat to ‘tribe’ refusing to leave Scottish woods

Their colourful attire and even more lurid behaviour have generated headlines around the globe.

However, the saga of an “African tribe” squatting in a Scottish wood looks set to come to an end after they were threatened with court action after being served with an eviction notice for a second time.

The residents of the Kingdom of Kubala — in reality a man, his wife and their “handmaiden” — claim they settled in the Borders to reclaim land stolen from a black Jewish tribe 400 years ago.
