The Southport killer displayed “leftwing extremist behaviour” and questioned why the public had a “really bad vision of the Taliban”, the inquiry into his crimes has heard.

A social worker assessing Axel Rudakubana recorded “concerns in relation to Axel’s extreme thoughts around what’s going on in the world and politics” three years before his attack on a Taylor Swift dance class in July 2024, but did not share them with counter-terrorism police.
