Zohran Mamdani and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez—two of America’s most prominent socialist politicians—have committed identity theft. No, they did not pilfer a Social Security number or swipe the digits of someone else’s credit card. They have done something more subtle: stealing the image of the oppressed for personal and political gain.

Even the UN has described Canada’s assisted suicide program as ‘state-sponsored eugenics’ and called upon the government to curtail plans to expand euthanasia access.
In Canada, we kill the disabled. Over 90 percent of babies diagnosed with Down syndrome in the womb are aborted; pre-born children diagnosed with other disabilities usually meet the same fate. But for decades, our Nazi-style lethal ableism was limited to those not yet born.
With the expansion of euthanasia eligibility to those suffering solely from disability or mental illness scheduled to come into effect in 2027, that is slated to change. Disability groups have been nearly unanimous in their condemnation of this plan, which has been delayed twice by the Liberal government due to pushback from across Canadian society – but not cancelled entirely.

Iran’s suspension of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is not a turning point. It is business as usual. Tehran’s decades-long strategy — deny, delay, deceive — continues, and the West still refuses to call it for what it is: a slow-motion march toward nuclear capability. Some commentators are now warning that Iran has suspended cooperation and may finally pursue the bomb, as if that is not already taking place. Iran has been pursuing nuclear weapons for decades. It has never stopped.
Nope.

A series of AI-generated videos that show a white man complaining about how difficult it is to get a job in Canada have been taken down by TikTok, following inquiries made by the CBC News Visual Investigations team.
The social media platform says the videos violated its community guidelines, because it wasn’t clear enough that they were made with AI.
I never heard of this video have you? The CBC probably produced it.

This week is Anthony Anderson’s annual trip to ABC to guest host Jimmy Kimmel Live! and no such week is complete without allegations of racism being hurled at Republicans. On Tuesday, Anderson not only rattled off several racist, including Nazi, inspired parody movies and TV shows for President Trump’s new streaming service but also took aim at the Big Beautiful Bill, claiming “the only bill that’s [bleep] more young people is Belichick.”
I love how Trump lives rent free in their heads.

Until further notice, transgender medical treatments for minors will continue in Alberta.
In December, Alberta amended its Health Professions Act to prohibit doctors from prescribing hormone therapy and puberty-suppressing drugs to minors in the course of treating gender-related psychological disorders. The law hadn’t come into force, however, and the government was planning to release an order allowing exceptions to the rule.

In a long overdue move, four of America’s most accurate pollsters have joined forces to take on the entrenched bias that’s been rotting the heart of public opinion research. The newly formed National Association of Independent Pollsters, comprised of Big Data Poll, InsiderAdvantage, Trafalgar Group, and Rasmussen Reports, has a simple mission: deliver honest, accurate data and expose the manipulations that have plagued the industry for years.

OTTAWA — The Palestinian ambassador to Canada says she feels Ottawa is on the brink of officially recognizing statehood for her people, as she also takes note of tougher language from Canada on Israel’s actions in Gaza.
“Accountability means everything to the Palestinian people. That’s all we are looking for,” said Mona Abuamara, who is at the end of her four-year term as the chief representative of the Palestinian General Delegation to Canada.

During an appearance on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Monday, failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams alleged President Donald Trump was taking steps to cancel elections in the United States.
Abrams outlined 10 steps to guest host Anthony Anderson in her book, which she was promoting, that would ultimately lead to an “autocracy.”
Who gets ‘platformed’ by CBC News — and why
In the past year or so, there has been a sharp increase in the number of people writing to complain about how CBC News “platforms” certain viewpoints, people and organizations in our journalism.
The complaints come from across the political spectrum. Some are polite and thoughtfully worded. Some less so. They often include sentences like these recent examples:
“I’m writing to express my deep disappointment with your recent decision to platform …”
“I’m truly disgusted that CBC interviewed …”
“Stop giving airtime to … !!!”
“It’s vile, disgusting and totally inappropriate to give this person a platform.”

As Toronto public school students enjoy a summer full of camps, play and sports, let’s hope the system that they return to in September undergoes significant change.
Public education in Ontario has become a mess. That is why it is welcome news that the provincial government has appointed supervisors to take over a number of school boards across the province, including the Toronto District School Board (TDSB)
