Keep dreaming, California.
When the feds nabbed a Chinese illegal immigrant who was wanted in Monterey Park, California, for assault with a deadly weapon they refused to release him back to the sanctuary Golden State to stand trial.
The risk, one Border Patrol leader said, is that he’ll just be released back onto the streets.

The Canadian Army is investigating members who allegedly shared what the country’s top soldier called “abhorrent” content within a private Facebook group.
According to a statement from Lt.-Gen. Mike Wright, the “Blue Hackle Mafia” group featured “racist, misogynistic, homophobic and antisemitic comments and images.”
In the message to armed forces members shared with CBC News, the army commander wrote that he is “disgusted by the content of some of the posts published on this group.”
They have no idea how many CAF members are involved. It could be two.
How many CAF members are in groups supporting so-called “gender affirming care” AKA child mutilation?

I began my research into the history of slavery in the Islamic world in Bamako, the capital of Mali, in 2020. Yes, you read that right. Not 1820 or 1920, but five years ago, during a harrowing encounter. Sitting cross-legged on the mud floor of a temporary shelter, a man in his late 50s called Hamey told me how he and his ancestors had been enslaved to a slave-owning family in the western region of Kayes for many generations. It was only two years earlier, after a savage public beating, that he’d managed to escape his enslavement. He broke down repeatedly as he described the near-impossibility, now that he was free, of finding somewhere to live and providing for his family in one of the poorest countries on earth.
The Koran is an evil book that grants Mohammedans license to commit all manner of perversions and atrocities.
For that reason immigration by Islamists should be permanently banned.

Now that Canada’s trade war with America has surged back into public consciousness like a blast from the recent past, a new poll suggests Canadian frustration with and mistrust of the U.S. remains high, despite a slight easing.
In March, for example, polling showed a dramatic realignment of Canadian attitudes toward its southern neighbour. Europe and Britain were suddenly the countries Canadians felt best about, and Canadians were starting to feel about America the way they felt about Russia.

Dozens of cases of wild orcas bringing fish and birds to humans have been documented. Are they trying to make friends or do they hope to manipulate us?
Humans have long considered themselves nature’s great benefactors. We feed ducks in the park, toss scraps to alley cats and leave out bowls of milk for the neighbourhood hedgehog. We give, they take.
That, at least, is how the story usually goes. But could one of the world’s most intelligent predators be turning the tables?

A new law meant to protect supply management might not be enough to shield the system in trade talks with a Trump administration bent on eliminating it, trade experts say.
“It’s certainly more difficult to strike a deal with the United States now with the passage of this bill that basically forces Canada to negotiate with one hand tied behind its back,” said William Pellerin, a trade lawyer and partner at the firm McMillan LLP.
“Now that we’ve removed the digital service tax, dairy and supply management is probably the No. 1 trade irritant that we have with the United States. That remains very much unresolved.”

French Culture Minister Rachida Dati has awarded DJ Barbara Butch the «Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres» decoration.
In case you have never heard of this person, well, she made the headlines when during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris she appeared in a parody of Christ during a mock Last Supper scene.

The Canadian government has made electric vehicles (EV) a priority over the last few years, with sizable funding for battery factories, a rebate program to improve affordability, and a mandate to phase out the purchase of new gas-powered vehicles by 2035.
But with the U.S. government signing resolutions blocking a similar EV mandate in California and some 17 other states, coupled with continued issues related to affordability, Ottawa’s plan could be facing increasing obstacles.

Election promises and massive defence spending increases promised by Prime Minister Mark Carney at a NATO summit last month will fuel huge annual federal budget deficits averaging more than $77-billion a year, a new report predicts.
A fiscal forecast released by the C.D. Howe Institute Thursday said the combined cost of Liberal Party election platform pledges, plus a June 25 commitment by Canada to boost military expenditures by as much as $90-billion each year, will drive Ottawa deeper into the red.

The role of culture, ethnicity and religion must not be brushed under the carpet.
Keir Starmer was left with no choice but to commit to a national statutory inquiry into the grooming-gangs scandal, following the publication of Louise Casey’s damning national audit last month. This inquiry is long overdue and it is vital that no stone is left unturned in the search for truth.
The earlier reluctance to even hold an inquiry was undoubtedly due to the racial sensitivities involved. The UK prime minister and much of the establishment have long been unwilling to acknowledge the backgrounds of many of the perpetrators. But Casey’s report surely points to a pattern that no inquiry can ignore.

Zohran Mamdani is probably going to be the mayor of New York.
Mamdani was born in Uganda to a Marxist academic, becoming a US citizen only in 2018. He effortlessly switches between a bobblehead Indian accent, a multiculti South-African Ali G, and the flat respectable Broadcast American that he now campaigns on. He got married this year so he can be Definitely Officially Not Gay for the 0.5% of over-65 New York Democrats for whom that still matters.

On Oct. 15, 2024, Canada finally added Samidoun to its list of terrorist entities under the Criminal Code. Many observers had long called for this important step, given the group’s well-documented ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a terrorist organization listed in Canada since 2003. The designation came only after mounting public pressure and disturbing events, including a Vancouver rally in which Samidoun-affiliated demonstrators chanted “Death to Canada” and burned our national flag.
WHY? Because most of the LPC caucus approves.

It is now taken as settled science that the media largely—and this is a professional, expert term—sucks. The reasons for that are well-known and also settled, accepted science. Who would dare be a science denier? The media suffers from Trump Derangement Syndrome, they hate America and Americans and they’re among the self-imagined elite who think themselves better than everyone else. They’re not. They’re mostly white but think white people racist. They’re congenital liars and have no idea what a sincere apology might be. Actually, they’re pretty clueless on the whole sincerity thing. They’re the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party, yet some of them weakly continue to deny that.
