Now We Know Why the Minnesota Assassin Story Disappeared Overnight

Have you wondered why the story of the Minnesota assassin Vance Boelter has suddenly vanished from the news? Now we have a pretty good idea why.

Boelter, who murdered State Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband while also shooting State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, unleashed terror that sparked a massive manhunt before his capture late Sunday. Initial media coverage was rife with speculation, with left-leaning outlets eager to cast Boelter as a MAGA Republican, hastily blaming the GOP and even President Donald Trump for inciting his shooting spree.

In his new riding, Pierre Poilievre will be stuck between a rock and a separatist place

The Alberta riding of Battle River-Crowfoot is roughly 3,000 kilometres away physically, and a good few light years away culturally, from the Ontario riding of Carleton, which Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre held for the last 20 years – up until the recent federal election.

Yes, both are historically blue ridings, though Battle-River’s blue is that deep, rich, saturated hue that can disappear a bit of red in an instant, like a drop of blood in the ocean. Yes, both encompass rural areas, but Battle-River’s population density was 2.1 per square kilometre in 2021, compared to 111.5 per square kilometre for Carleton in the same year (notably, pre-redistribution). Roughly half the population of Battle River-Crowfoot had no education beyond high school according to 2021 census data, compared to just a third in Carleton.

Carbon Tax and the Green Deal: The EU’s Climate Heist Is Underway

The EU cloaks supranational tax increases in green.

On the hunt for fresh sources of cash, the European Commission has zeroed in on households and motorists. A planned expansion of the EU’s carbon pricing scheme to include home heating and transportation fuels is set to plug Brussels’ gaping budget deficit — at the expense of its citizens. What we are witnessing is a fiscal smash-and-grab dressed up in green.

Small wonder ‘Policy for Profit Carney’ is Gung Ho to hook up with these EU Eco-scammers.

Protecting America from Lone-Wolf Terrorism

Human intelligence, digital monitoring, and a willingness to infiltrate radical groups are key to preventing the next solo attack.

The murder of the couple at the Israeli embassy in Washington, D.C., the Boulder, Colorado attack on a group supporting the release of hostages held by Hamas, and the assassination of a state legislator in Minnesota are classic examples of “lone-wolf terrorism”—individuals carrying out ideologically motivated violence. The eternal and difficult question for law enforcement is how to stop a lone wolf before he acts.

Adam Zivo: Canadians stuck in Israel abandoned by embassy that closes at 4:30 p.m.

JERUSALEM — After Israel closed its airspace last Friday due to the threat of Iranian missile attacks, about 40,000 tourists — including over 6,600 Canadians — were left unable to return home on their own. While many countries are scrambling to evacuate their citizens by land and sea, some Canadians say that they have been abandoned by their government and left to fend for themselves.

Whatever will Meghan think of selling next?

Well, you can’t say that we weren’t warned. Repeatedly. At the beginning of this week, the Duchess of Sussex wrote in a subscriber newsletter, in that inimitably faux-chummy way that she has perfected:

“First off, a sincere thank you for making the debut of As Ever absolutely extraordinary. We had a feeling there would be excitement, but to see everything sell out in less than an hour was an amazing surprise. We are pleased to share that on 20 June, we’re going live with the products you love – plus, some new delicious surprises.

‘Absolutely extraordinary’ is one way of describing the profoundly underwhelming launch of a few pieces of overpriced tat. But as veteran Meghan-watchers know, such barrages of hyperbole are par for the course, and so I lay in wait, metaphorically speaking, for the ‘delicious surprises’ that we have been promised.

The Earth could be soon flung out of orbit or into the sun – all thanks to a passing star

Could a passing star be on a collision course with our solar system and, eventually, Earth?

It’s difficult to know if such an outcome is likely. Recently, researchers have found the Milky Way likely won’t crash into its neighboring galaxy any time soon. Our blue marble is already slated to be eaten by our sun in several billion years, after it turns into a red giant and expands.

First Nations youth say they’re ’starting a movement’ against major projects bills … but will need tax payers to pony up funding

OTTAWA — First Nations youth leaders are warning Canadians can expect a long, tense summer of protests as governments push forward with plans to fast-track major projects — and young people will be leading the charge.

“You will see us in your cities, your city’s hubs,” said Ramon Kataquapit, a youth councillor with the Chiefs of Ontario and Nishnawbe Aski Nation and a member of Attawapiskat First Nation in northern Ontario.

Trump’s deportations are working

President Donald Trump has set a goal of deporting one million illegal immigrants a year during his second term in office, and according to new estimates based on Census Bureau data, it appears at least that many may have already left the country this year.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement does not normally issue its annual “Enforcement and Removal Operations Report” until December, so we will not have hard numbers for months, but all indications from other indirect data point to the conclusion that Trump has already made significant progress undoing President Joe Biden’s mass illegal migration.

GTA elementary school teacher making $120K a year says that she ‘had better expectations’ for her finances. Here’s what happened

Christine Miller has been a Grade One teacher with the Peel District School Board for the better part of a decade and while she earns close to $120,000 annually, she says she is living pay cheque to pay cheque.

Miller belongs to a rising number of middle-income households making up to $125,000 a year that are at risk of being squeezed out of the region, according to a report released by Civic Action this week.

Many members of the group, like Miller, have healthy salaries well over the median income for Toronto but are still struggling to stay afloat and have essentially become ‘the invisible poor,” Civic Action says.

I hope she didn’t vote Liberal or NDP and mass immigration.
