Foreign Student Scam: Canada unveils new restrictions on work permits for international students, spouses

The federal government has announced new measures to limit and curb the abuse of Canada’s international student program.

Starting on Sept. 1, Immigration Minister Marc Miller announced Monday, the federal government will stop issuing postgraduate work permits to international students who graduate from programs provided under so-called Public College-Private Partnerships.

Furthermore, for most of the international students who are not studying in graduate schools or in a professional program such as medicine or law, their spouses will no longer receive a work permit to work in Canada.

WTF! The Liberals were letting the spouses in too?

It’s only a 2 year cap and the number of permits is being reduced to 364K, a reduction of only 35% that’s still too many as this was just a Liberal party scam to begin with.

Democratic Socialists face seven-figure debt ‘crisis’ amid Palestinian support that may force dreaded layoffs of staff

The Democratic Socialists of America are red all over — with a financial situation so dire that some leaders are demanding job cuts and the layoff of staffers just like a corporate America entity, The Post has learned.

The DSA — which has led protests against Israel over the Jewish State’s retaliatory response to Hamas’ Oct. 7 terror attack — is deep in a seven-figure hole and desperately in need of a way to stanch the red ink, members acknowledge.

As Canada’s health systems strain, more private care would make more resources available to treat sick people and that would be bad says Assclown Liberal minister

Health Minister Mark Holland says while some provinces are using private health care as a stop-gap to try to address system strains, health-care delivery must stay publicly funded.

His comments come after two doctors last week warned that the crisis in Canada’s emergency rooms has become “horrific and inhumane,” and after the Ontario Hospital Association warned last week that a “huge spike” in population and aging residents is a major challenge for provincial health-care providers.

Yea we wouldn’t want elderly people stuck in hospital hallways for a day or two as happened to my Mom.

Who gets an MRI right away and who waits months your Mom or the Raptor player?

The three victims, all in their twenties, were enjoying a night out when they were attacked by a group of men.

Julia Malott: Rife with gender politics, Ontario schools sorely need Lecce to lead

Ontario’s school boards reached a flashpoint in gender identity politics in 2023, a decisive shift in the public education landscape from just a few years prior. Controversies spanned issues of LGBT library books, teacher dress codes, Pride flag displays and the contentious topic of social transition without parental consent or knowledge. Frustration over these issues (and the school boards’ frequent refusal to address them) eventually culminated in the country-wide Million March for Children protest at the end of September.

Is the EU dropping Net Zero?

Answers to Mrs. Hitler

Right-wing parties have cottoned on to voter rejection of green policies

In hindsight, 2024 may well be remembered as the year of the Great Reversal on EU climate policy. That many of the most ambitious emissions goals will not be achievable has been common knowledge for a while now, but until recently the policies themselves had not been questioned. There was a widespread consensus that the European Union was in position to be a global leader for emissions reductions and the green transition away from fossil fuels.

Executive Pay for Federal Employees Has Increased $571 Million Since 2015

Pay for executives working in the federal government increased over half a billion dollars in less than 10 years, according to the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF).

Compensation for executives across federal departments and agencies increased from $1.38 billion in 2015 to $1.95 billion in 2022, an increase of 41 percent, according to a CTF federal commentary published Jan. 17, citing data obtained from access-to-information records.

The organization also found that, over that seven-year period, the number of federal executives increased 31 percent, from 7,138 to 9,371, while inflation, based on Statistics Canada data, increased 19.4 percent.

We are Europe

Europe is the 3,000 years of history behind us, not a handful of officials and unelected functionaries of the European Commission telling nations how to behave.

It’s now been more than a year since the spectacular victory of Giorgia Meloni and our friends from Fratelli d’Italia. Those elections showed us, once again, that we, conservatives and reformists, the patriotic forces of Europe, can win elections. And we can do so without having to renounce our principles or disguise our ideas, as it has always been mistakenly believed by other forces that proclaim themselves conservatives in front of their voters, but, when election day arrives, are only concerned with not making any noise and keeping a low profile.

The principles and values that we represent are defended openly and without fear. These values are capable of connecting the majority of society, as long as we know how to live, feel, and fight for the demands of our people at all times.

Joe Biden’s Death Wish

His border policy is Trump’s greatest gift.

Should Republicans, as Donald Trump is arguing, steer clear and let President Biden continue to bear the political costs of the border crisis? Or should they move the ball on policy as much as possible, even if it somewhat alleviates Biden’s difficulty going into the election?

This is a fascinating discussion, but it raises the question why Biden wouldn’t make it moot by helping himself out of his own border crisis.

‘I was so naïve to think the UN would help us uncover Hamas’ rape atrocities’

It has been over three months since Hamas’s attack on Israel, during which terrorists moved through a music festival and 20 villages and towns, murdering men, women and children. Unequivocal evidence has since shown how entire families were burned, people were beheaded, how there was the systematic raping and mutilation of girls and women, along with the dragging away of 240 hostages. Hamas filmed in real time and streamed it on social media. The death toll currently stands at 1,200.

Germany: so much for the ‘grown-up country’

Germany has long occupied a special place in the liberal-elite imagination. Over the past few decades, and especially since the world was upended by the votes for Brexit and Trump, Germany has been held up by the great and good as a model nation. As the rest of the West lost their minds, or so the story goes, Germany remained a paragon of economic efficiency, political maturity and environmental stewardship. The last bulwark of the liberal order in an age of rising populism.
