The Biden Administration, Palestinians and Inconvenient Truths

As US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan was in the Middle East last week trying to restrain Israel in its war against the Iran-backed Hamas terrorist group and to “revamp” the Palestinian Authority (PA), a public opinion poll again illustrated how the Biden administration continues to intentionally ignore the reality of the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The results of the poll also showed that, unlike the Biden administration, most Palestinians do not trust the PA and prefer Hamas’s terrorism to a peaceful settlement with Israel.

Sullivan was reportedly in the Middle East for two reasons: to pressure Israel to scale down its military operations against Hamas, and to discuss the possibility of having the Palestinian Authority govern the Gaza Strip the day after the current war ends.

GUNTER: Another costly Liberal solution to a non-existent problem

Trust the Trudeau government to pick the wrong solution to the wrong problem.

Most headlines about Tuesday’s announcement regarding electric vehicle (EV) sales in Canada had pretty much the same theme: Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault announced that 20% of all new vehicles sold in Canada “must be” EVs by 2026.

Spanish Police Arrest Over a Dozen Would-Be Jihadists

After months of investigation and surveillance, Spanish police made 13 arrests this week in one of the largest anti-terror operations in recent years.

On Tuesday, Spanish National Police, working with their Moroccan counterparts, dismantled a terror recruitment cell by arresting nine in the North African exclave of Melilla and another person in the city of Nador, just across the Moroccan border, El Mundo reports.

The General Directorate for the Surveillance of Moroccan Territory (DGSN) said that the suspects were attempting to recruit new jihadists. Among those arrested was one suspect who is believed to be a member of a terrorist group operating in the African Sahel region.

Justin Trudeau fears Pierre Poilievre is bringing Trump-style politics to Canada

Justin Trudeau is worried Canada is vulnerable to the spread of the far right in the United States, and says no one should be smugly assuming that this country is immune to its influence.

In a candid and personal interview with his old friend Terry DiMonte, Trudeau talked at length about the angry climate in Canada and the U.S., and what he sees as near “nihilism” infecting political discourse.

“There is something that is changing right now,” Trudeau said. “Donald Trump was a symptom of that, not a cause … There is a level of anger and ‘burn down the institutions’ and almost nihilism that’s creeping in, in all of our countries.”

Ukrainian refugees will be drafted to boost troops in war against Russia

Ukrainian refugees in Europe will be called up to bolster their country’s army, the Ukrainian defence minister has announced.

Rustem Umerov told the German newspaper Bild that men aged 25 to 60 would receive a summons to report to Ukrainian army recruitment centres. They would face unspecified sanctions if they failed to volunteer.

“We want fairness for everyone because it’s about our own country. We are sending them an invitation,” he said. “We are still discussing what should happen if they don’t come voluntarily.”

Trudeau states he will continue in quest to destroy Canada

‘Do you think I could walk away?’ Justin Trudeau laughs off suggestions he’ll take a ‘walk in the snow’

OTTAWA – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau dismissed suggestions that he would be stepping down as Liberal leader anytime soon, as his father Pierre Elliott Trudeau did nearly 40 years ago during his now famous “walk in the snow.”

The subject came up during his hour-long annual holiday chat with his friend, former radio host Terry DiMonte — a tradition that Trudeau has held long before he entered politics and that DiMonte noted is “not a hard-hitting journalist interview” but rather a friendly discussion.

Chris Sankey: Fossil fuels aren’t going anywhere, we benefit too much from them

Over the last eight years we have experienced an unprecedented push from environmental activists to phase out fossil fuels. The Government of Canada seems to think it is possible. During question period in the Senate earlier this year, Sen. David Wells noted that, according to the Liberals, the energy transition “will cost $100-$125 billion per year at least to 2050,” and asked “When Canada only emits 1.5 per cent of global emissions, how does this expenditure make sense?”

German police raid pro-Palestinian feminist group

Police in Berlin, Germany’s capital, conducted on Wednesday a raid targeting members of a pro-Palestinian, left-wing feminist group, German media reported.

The Zora group is accused of backing the radical, left-wing Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). The European Union and the United States list the group as a terrorist organization.

The GDP police trade union representative for the Berlin area, Benjamin Jendro, wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that around 200 officers took part in the operation.

They searched six flats, an office and a cafe in the districts of Neukölln, Friedrichshain, Karlshorst, Wedding, Kreuzberg, Prenzlauer Berg and Wedding, the BZ newspaper reported.

Biden White House Gets Media To Spread Nazi-Style Propaganda That Trump Is Hitler

Democrats and their friends in the news media have temporarily moved on from the tiresome “Donald Trump is a threat to democracy!” storyline to the all-too-original “Trump is Hitler!”

Making this effort particularly unique, they’re so open about the coordination. The media are usually at least partially discreet about deceiving, lying, and manipulating, but for reasons unclear they’re all perfectly fine with this episode being a transparent conspiracy between the White House and the Washington press.

Of all top-heavy Liberal climate policies, electric-vehicles mandate is the worst

To meet Canada’s commitment to its Paris Agreement climate goals, the federal government has announced increasingly heavy-handed emissions reduction policies this year. It culminated Monday in the publication of regulated targets for electric-vehicle sales: an EV mandate.

History has shown us time and again that government quotas are no match for the market. The Liberals want to show us one more time why this is the case.

Nationwide swatting spree targeting nearly 200 Jewish institutions was coordinated by group based outside of the US, FBI says

The nationwide swatting spree that targeted nearly 200 Jewish institutions over the weekend is said to have been part of a coordinated effort from a group based outside of the US, according to the FBI.

In a confidential memo to partner law enforcement agencies, Assistant FBI Director Cathy Milhoan said: ‘At this time, based on similar language and specific email tradecraft used, it appears the perpetrators of these threats are connected. Additionally, these threats appear to be originating from outside of the United States.’

Between Friday and Saturday, 199 swatting incidents and false bomb threats were tracked by the Secure Community Network, a non-profit that informs US Jewish institutions of security and safety.
