CAHN must be in collective orgasm.

A network representing influential Canadian Muslim donors to the Liberal Party of Canada has dropped out of the ranks of the party’s top donors, citing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s disinclination to call for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas conflict, CBC News has learned.

In a formal letter sent to party president Sachit Mehra on November 27, the group — which calls itself the Network 100-GTA, London, Ottawa, Montreal and says it has 400 members — said it has called on Trudeau repeatedly to request a ceasefire.

I bet they take over the Green party.

UN climate summit serving gourmet burgers, BBQ as it calls for Americans to stop eating meat

The ongoing United Nations COP28 climate summit in Dubai is offering a wide variety of gourmet food options from vendors who serve beef, even as it prepares a report that is expected to call for the West to reduce consumption of beef.

According to the summit’s online portal, its food offerings include “juicy beef,” “slabs of succulent meat,” smoked wagyu burgers, Philly cheesesteaks and “melt-in-your-mouth BBQ” in addition to African street BBQ, fast casual Mexican fare and an Asian option that has a “touch of French flair.” The revelation comes as the U.N. faces criticism for preparing a first-of-its-kind report that is expected to be published at the summit and call for lower meat consumption.

The shocking gap in Ottawa’s EV plan — lack of due diligence

The power grid that took more than a century to build will have to double its capacity in just 30 years. That will cost. Who’s paying?

What would happen to your electricity bill if all your neighbours started driving electric vehicles (EVs)? This is not a hypothetical question. The federal government’s plan is for Canadians to be driving EVs en masse in a little more than a decade. Ottawa has banned the sale of new gas-powered passenger vehicles as of 2035 and the government has committed tens of billions of taxpayer dollars in grants and incentives to the makers of EV batteries.

We are a nation governed by high school students. Stupid high school students.

There was a significant decline in entries from Poland, the Czech Republic and Switzerland, where Germany has tightened controls, as well as from Austria.

Lies, Defamation, & Hypocrisy: CBC, Ottawa Citizen, CTV Reporting of Ottawa Police Settlement in Detective Grus Parental Complaint

Yesterday CBC, Ottawa Citizen, and CTV – all government-subsidized news outlets – published reports of a settlement between the Ottawa Police and mother of a deceased infant who complained of privacy violations but did not file a lawsuit.

The timing of this monetary settlement was clearly a strategic decision by the Ottawa Police Service (OPS). The OPS faces imminent embarrassment and exposure in today’s December 8, 2023, Divisional Court Judicial Review application filed by Detective Helen Grus’s defense lawyers.

Anthony Furey: Poilievre Housing Video Shows Substance, Respect for the Voter

Before Justin Trudeau became Prime Minister of Canada, he released a lengthy video on his “sunny ways” philosophy. While those two words quickly became Trudeau’s trademark, the video detailed how the phrase actually came from Wilfird Laurier, who had served as Liberal PM of Canada a century earlier.

It was a whimsical video full of cartoon images that told a narrative about the history of the country and Trudeau’s vision for it. The video—and the announcement of the “sunny ways” agenda—received a great deal of attention at the time.

Why are people still denying Hamas’s rapes?

Graphic reports this week continue to be ignored

There’s never been a better moment to be a rapist. Almost 200 women report a rape to the police every day in England and Wales, yet fewer than four will see their attackers punished. Rape denial is commonplace, not just in relation to what victims say but whether it happened in the first place. Endless excuses are made for defendants: the victim had been drinking, didn’t say “no” loudly enough, or didn’t have visible injuries.
