Hamas is just one part of the threat to Israel and the West

In the wake of Hamas ’s Oct. 7 attack on Israel, most people, especially those on the Right, quickly recognized that Israel ’s battle to destroy Hamas was and is completely justified. Unfortunately, fewer seem to grasp that the destruction of Hamas, while necessary, is not sufficient for Israel’s security.

The fact is Hamas is just one part of a much larger threat that Israel has faced for years. Israel has had to also ward off attacks from the Palestine Liberation Army operating in Judea and Samaria, and other Palestinian terrorist groups such as Islamic Jihad, which recently announced it executed an innocent Israeli woman who had been held hostage for more than a month.

Products returned to Amazon found at Toronto liquidation stores — along with buyers’ personal info

Ottawa resident Arthur Stewart said he was “surprised” and “concerned” to learn a package he returned to Amazon’s fulfilment centre in Mississauga, Ont., was recently being sold at a liquidation store in Toronto — with the shipping label showing his full name, home address and phone number clearly visible.

“I have no issue with the fact that Amazon or any other retailer would be able to resell things that are returned or things that don’t get sold,” Stewart said in an interview.

“My issue is that they aren’t taking adequate steps to protect the privacy of people.”

‘Huge risk’ of Christmas attacks by Mohammedans, warns EU

There is a “huge risk of terrorist attacks in the European Union” over the coming holiday season, a senior EU official has said.

European Home Affairs Commission Ylva Johansson said the polarisation in society caused by the Israel-Hamas war was increasing the risk of violence.

Her remarks came days after a tourist was fatally stabbed in Paris.

The EU was making an additional €30m (£26m) available for additional security, Ms Johansson said.

Canada considering options to get extended family of Canadians out of Gaza

Immigration Minister Marc Miller says he is considering options to get the extended family members of Canadians out of the embattled Gaza Strip.

Most Canadians with extended family members in Gaza have been told their family doesn’t qualify to come to Canada, leaving them helpless.

The NDP caucus wrote an open letter to the government asking for special immigration visas that would allow Canadians can get their parents, siblings and adult children to safety.

Bullshit.

‘Israeli female soldiers shot in crotch, vagina, breasts on October 7’

“It was often impossible for families to be shown faces – and it seems as if mutilation of these women’s faces was an objective in their murders.”

Expressions of agony survived their deaths, army reservist Shari Mendes said as she described what experts saw when they identified and prepared for the burial the female bodies of Hamas’s October 7 massacre.

“These women arrived with their eyes opened, their mouths in grimaces, their fists clenched,” said Mendes, whose IDF rabbinical unit worked with the bodies, all of which were brought to the IDF’s Shura base.

Rate of sexual assault in the Canadian Armed Forces rising, StatCan survey suggests

OTTAWA – A new report from Statistics Canada suggests the problem of sexual misconduct in the military is getting worse.

The survey suggests 3.5 per cent of Canadian Armed Forces personnel say they were sexually assaulted by another military member in 2022.

… Victims of these assaults were more likely to be women, the survey found, and they were disproportionately younger, Indigenous, members of the LGBTQ+ community or people with disabilities.

Maybe the CAF needs to go to a healing lodge.

IDF Responds to Growing US Criticism of Civilian Casualties in Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has responded to growing criticism being expressed by senior U.S. officials regarding the number of civilian casualties suffered by Palestinians throughout Israel’s ongoing war against the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip.

While President Joe Biden and his administration have repeatedly expressed their support for Israel’s efforts to eliminate Hamas in the wake of the group’s unprecedented October 7 surprise attack, top figures such as Vice President Kamala Harris and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin have suggested their ally was not doing enough to mitigate the harm being inflicted upon civilians.

Robyn Fryer Bodzin: Mélanie Joly’s feminist foreign policy has no room for Jewish rape victims

For a country with a ‘feminist foreign policy,’ Canada has remained remarkably silent about Hamas’s sexual violence

If the #MeToo movement taught us anything, it’s that victims of sexual assault should be given the benefit of the doubt and supported as they seek help and justice. Canada has embraced this support of women’s rights and has formally applied it to its foreign policy, with Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly proudly touting the government’s application of a feminist lens to international aid and other endeavours.

CBC cuts could change what programming you see on TV: Tait

TORONTO – The CBC’s president says a round of layoffs and programming cuts the broadcaster announced this week could mean changes in what viewers see on television.

Catherine Tait says slashing millions from the Crown corporation’s overall budget may mean fewer unscripted, factual or game shows.

She says those kinds of content don’t fall under the broadcast regulator’s programs of national interest policy that CBC has to remain committed to.

Why the Islamic State is surging in Africa

DAKAR, Senegal — An African branch of the Islamic State that for years was an afterthought for the main organization is surging in strength, expanding the ranks of its fighters and controlling more territory than at any point since its founding in 2015, researchers say, part of a shift by the Islamic State from its traditional strongholds in Iraq and Syria to Africa.

“Joe Oliver: Trudeau’s woke agenda fails to curb antisemitic outbreak” … that’s because his woke agenda nurtured it

Social justice is a signature mission of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who has promoted it with incessant virtue signalling. Yet it is unraveling due to an amoral, self-contradictory ideology and incompetent execution. As a result, Canada is a more divided country, riven by interpersonal and communal tensions and afflicted by the worst outbreak of antisemitism in our history.

Faces of Muslim ‘Abandon Biden’ movement accused of wife beating, Hamas links

WASHINGTON — A campaign calling on Muslim-Americans to oppose President Biden’s re-election bid over his support for Israel’s invasion of the Gaza Strip includes men accused of spousal abuse and ties to the Hamas terror group, as well as one advocate of whipping as a form of punishment, The Post has learned.

The leaders of the “Abandon Biden” movement piled onto a Hampton Inn stage Saturday in Dearborn, Mich., to slam the 81-year-old commander-in-chief for not forcing Israel to halt its incursion in response to the murders of 1,200 people — including 33 Americans — Oct. 7.

Wife beating is what good Mohammedans do!

Canada’s suicide hotline reveals Justin Trudeau’s dystopia

Euthanasia has been reduced to a bureaucratic detail

Canadian leader Justin Trudeau recently launched a new suicide hotline. Internet jokers wondered whether its aim is to dissuade or to find new takers for Canada’s notoriously liberal state-supported euthanasia programme. Surely it is paradoxical for the same government to offer both pro and anti-suicide services?

Hamas plans show it meant to strike deep inside Israel

Hamas’s battle plans for its attack on Israel on October 7 show that the terrorists were more ambitious than realised, according to evidence gathered by the Israeli military and disclosed on Monday.

Instructions and maps found on Hamas fighters killed in the attacks and in later raids in Gaza suggest that military bases deep inside Israel were among the targets.

The plans, some found on laptop computers taken from terrorists’ vehicles and others in notebooks and phones, give instructions to individual units. There are also booklets about weaponry including how to strike weak spots on Israeli tanks and armoured vehicles.
