The Arab Street has come to America

The old conventional wisdom was that the United States couldn’t be too pro-Israel for fear of inflaming “the Arab street.”

The new conventional wisdom will have to be that we can’t be too pro-Israel for fear of inflaming “the Western street.”

The Arab street, a hoary cliché of commentary on the Middle East for decades, was a reference to public opinion in the Arab countries, with the strong implication that if we offended it, the result would be massive anti-Western demonstrations and perhaps violence.

Biden Administration’s $1Billion Prize to Iran: Just A Small Thank You for Engineering a War, Wounding 56 US Troops and Trying to Drive the US Out of The Middle East.

Who needs the Nobel Peace Prize when you can have the Biden War Prize? That’s right, the Biden administration announced this week that it plans to give the Iranian regime another $10 billion in unfrozen assets from Oman, apparently as a small token of appreciation for launching a savage war in the Middle East and targeting US troops in the region at least 56 times, wounding at least 56 US servicemen, many with traumatic brain injury — in just one month! Where does everyone sign up?

First US state to decriminalise hard drugs may be set for swift U-turn

The authorities are leading demands for Oregon to recriminalise heroin and fentanyl after addicts took over the streets of major cities

Oregon, the first US state to decriminalise hard drugs, is set for a U-turn after addicts took over the streets of major cities.

Police chiefs, district attorneys and city officials are leading demands for Oregon to recriminalise heroin and fentanyl, reversing key provisions of the liberal experiment, which was introduced in 2021.

Underpinning the original initiative, known as Measure 110, was the belief that decriminalising hard drugs would make it easier to get addicts into treatment.

Canada has become an international cautionary tale about euthanasia, proving pro-lifers right

Scarcely a week goes by in Canada without another gut-wrenching story emerging from the frontlines of our euthanasia regime. There is Rosina, the young woman who opted for assisted suicide because of her crippling loneliness; she selected the day of her death, September 25, 2021, because it was the birthday of her ex-husband. There is the man requesting assisted suicide because he cannot get the back surgery he needs; the young mother who sees euthanasia as one of her only options because she cannot get coverage for the treatment she desperately needs; the 44-year-old Winnipeg woman who opted for euthanasia because she could not get home care.

Target SLAMMED Over ‘Gay Nutcracker’ Christmas Decorations

Target is under fire once again – this time for selling LGBTQ+ styled Christmas decorations. And conservatives are NOT having it.

One of the new items on the chain’s inventory is a 2023 nutcracker decoration which features the nutcracker in a jacket with a pride flag running down the middle, a pride flag hat, and a pride flag in his hand. I say “his” hand loosely, as the statue also has pink hair, eyeshadow, and feminine eyelashes. Perhaps he’s a drag queen as well.

Jamie Sarkonak: Muslim charity under CRA microscope for ties to alleged Hamas front

In March 2021, the Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) got mail from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) that no charity ever wants to see. In 150 pages, the letter detailed the CRA’s reasons for alleging, mid-audit, various breaches of tax law from 2013 to 2015, ranging from flawed record keeping to improper links to the Muslim Brotherhood and an alleged Canadian front for Hamas.

Hamas Can Be Destroyed, but Can Islamic Supremacism Be Destroyed?

Most of what you have been told about the Palestine-Israel conflict is at best misleading, and much of the rest has no basis in fact. One common false claim involves the cause of the conflict. The underlying source of the conflict is not territory, human rights, or political autonomy; it is religion. The hundred-year Arab-Jewish war is a religious war.

Italy Officially Bans Sale of Lab-Grown Meat

Italy officially banned lab-grown meat this week in a bid to protect the nation’s farmers and food heritage from the Great Reset-style push towards synthetic foods.

Voting by a measure of 159 to 53, the Italian parliament voted to prohibit the sale of lab-grown meat for food or animal feed that was “produced from cell or tissue cultures deriving from vertebrate animals”.

Pierre Poilievre is crushing Justin Trudeau. Is that about to change?

Pierre Poilievre is not a big fan of the media — which is maybe surprising, given all of the positive coverage and poll results for the Conservative leader this fall.

Turn to any sort of political media over the past few weeks, and the good news for Poilievre leaps out in the headlines. There have been countless stories about whether Justin Trudeau is (or should be) stepping down; weekly reports of the Conservatives widening the polling gap with the Liberals, and a flurry of pieces about Liberal worries going from a whisper to a roar.

Fewer cousins marrying in Bradford’s Pakistani community

The number of people in Bradford’s Pakistani community who have married a cousin has fallen sharply in the past 10 years, a study suggests. Higher educational attainment, new family dynamics and changes in immigration rules are thought to be possible reasons.

… Ten years ago researchers studying the health of more than 30,000 people in Bradford found that about 60% of babies in the Pakistani community had parents who were first or second cousins, but a new follow-up study of mothers in three inner-city wards finds the figure has dropped to 46%.

The original research also demonstrated that cousin marriage roughly doubled the risk of birth defects, though they remained rare, affecting 6% of children born to cousins.

South Africa’s referral of Israel to ICC divides opinion

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa told reporters during a visit to Qatar on Wednesday evening that South Africa “put through a referral” to the International Criminal Court (ICC) “because we believe that war crimes are being committed” in Gaza.

The alleged crimes were being committed “in real time,” Ramaphosa said, citing Gaza’s biggest health care facility, the al-Shifa hospital, as an example.

Israel said that Hamas has a command center underneath the hospital, a claim the Palestinian militant group denies.
