On October 7, 2023, 1,500 Hamas terrorists invaded Israel by land, sea and air, massacring innocent youngers at a music festival, burning people living in border communities alive in their homes, decapitating babies, and raping numerous women. Simultaneously, Hamas fired thousands of rockets at the Jewish state. Israeli forensic experts have already confirmed that Hamas is guilty of rape, torture and other crimes against humanity.
OTTAWA – The Supreme Court of Canada said Thursday it will not hear the case of four Canadian men held in Syria who argue Ottawa has a legal duty to help them return home.
The mother of one of the men said after the decision that she was not about to give up, but added it was difficult to maintain hope.

I remember during an earlier periodic outbreak of violence in Gaza being accosted by a man of distinctly Mohammedan tint outside a local supermarket and being asked if I knew that some of the profits from their products supposedly went toward helping Israel fund the mass military killing of Palestinians. I said that no I didn’t, thanked him for his information, and went straight inside to blow as much as I possibly could on Jaffa Cakes, to ensure the largest number of civilian casualties possible.
I didn’t, of course. I don’t even especially like Jaffa Cakes. I just resented foreign conflicts being exported abroad to my own native British homeland needlessly: Did people stand outside Palestinian souks warning local Semtex purchasers they may have been inadvertently funding the IRA?

A decade ago, The Globe and Mail published an essay that made the case that Canada was a better role model than the U.S. due to its approach of “mutual accommodation” — what the late Quebec premier Robert Bourassa called “one of the world’s rare and privileged countries in terms of peace, justice, liberty and standard of living.”

New Democratic Party Leader Jagmeet Singh doesn’t sound like someone who is ready to walk away from his deal with Justin Trudeau’s Liberals — at least not yet.
The government has just 20 days to introduce and pass pharmacare legislation by the end of the year, as it promised in its 2022 supply and confidence agreement with the NDP. It also has a fall economic statement coming out next week, which could show how much the Liberals are willing to spend to keep that deal alive.
But Singh told reporters flatly on Wednesday that next week wouldn’t be a make-or-break week for pharmacare.
Singh wants his pension. That alone is enough to prop up Junior.

There’s some real anger spilling over at the Daily Wire this week but I think it’s fair to say this has been building up for a while now. Ben Shapiro, the co-founder of the Daily Wire, has obviously been one of the most outspoken defenders on Israel online. Candace Owens works there as one of their most prominent voices but she’s taken a very different view. For instance, she has argued that the charge of anti-Semitism has been “weaponized” to silence people.
