OTTAWA — Almost two in three Canadians have a negative impression of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and half want him to resign before the next election, a new survey suggests.

While affordability, housing and public debt are higher on the reasons people want Trudeau to go, one in five people surveyed said they want him to resign simply because they are “just tired of him.”

Anthony Furey: Eliminating the Carbon Tax for Farms Will Help With Grocery Bills

One of the main topics of discussion in Canada at the water cooler and around the kitchen table is the rising cost of groceries. Canadians are making their voices heard loud and clear on this topic. Politicians should be well aware by now that their constituents are having a tough time making ends meet.

Yet for over six months the federal Liberal government has been dragging its feet on implementing an effective way to bring down the price of many basic goods: taking the carbon tax off farms.

Israeli forces enter Gaza’s al-Shifa hospital in ‘targeted operation’

Israel says its military has entered Gaza’s largest hospital in a “precise and targeted operation” against Hamas.

The al-Shifa hospital has been the site of a stand-off, with debate raging over the Israeli claim that it is being used as cover for a Hamas command and control centre in bunkers built ten metres underground. Hamas and Shifa medical staff deny the allegation.

Hamas using death of hostage Noa Marciano for ‘psychological terrorism’, says Israel

The death of a 19-year-old hostage who is believed to have been killed amid airstrikes in Gaza has been weaponised as part of a campaign of “psychological terrorism” by Hamas, Israel said.

Amnon Scheffler, a spokesman for the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), said that a video released by Hamas of Noa Marciano, a soldier from Modiin who turned 19 while kidnapped, was “horrific and evil and clearly psychological warfare”.

In a video released by Hamas last night, Marciano said that she was being held with others. “The bombing is very close to us … We could die from the bombings” she said, apparently reading from a script. “Please stop.”

Jesse Kline: Western media wilfully ignorant of Hamas using hospitals for war crimes

The Oct. 17 “bombing” of the Al-Ahli hospital in Gaza City led to a “day of rage” against Israel throughout the Muslim world. Of course, when it was revealed that, rather than a hospital being bombed by Israeli war planes, a parking lot was hit by an errant Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket, we did not hear calls for a day of rage against Palestinian terror groups.

Freeland to Testify at Committee on Canada’s Funding to Beijing-Led Infrastructure Bank

A House of Commons committee is set to question Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland about Canada’s dealings with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), which has been accused of being under the influence of Beijing. MPs voted in favour of an Oct. 23 motion asking the House of Commons Special Committee on Canada-China Relations to invite the Minister of Finance to appear as a witness in its examination of “Canada’s freeze in government-led activity” with the AIIB, as first reported by Blacklock’s Reporter.

It’s Looking Like the 1930s

Axis and Allies in the Eurasian rimland

With the Middle East primed for a conflagration, American policy-makers must recognize two realities. First, the United States is embroiled in a major Eurasian rimland war, one that must be fought and won to preserve American power. Second, the benefits of fighting forward — and fighting limited small wars rather than purely focusing on “the biggest threat” in Asia — are on full display in the Middle East today. The U.S. must stay the course in Europe and the Middle East to win the struggle for Eurasian mastery.

Pelosi attacker planned to wear unicorn costume and post interrogation online

The man accused of attacking the husband of former US House speaker Nancy Pelosi with a hammer last year told jurors at his federal trial on Tuesday how he went to the Pelosis’ San Francisco home as part of a bigger plan to end corruption in the United States.

David DePape spoke for more than an hour, often getting emotional and crying about how his political leanings went from leftist to rightwing after reading a comment on a YouTube video about former president Donald Trump. He said he went to the Pelosis’ home to talk to her about Russian involvement in the 2016 election, and that he planned to wear an inflatable unicorn costume and upload his interrogation of her online.
