Donald Trump explodes on witness stand, calling AG a ‘hack,’ accusing judge of fraud

Former President Donald Trump exploded less than two hours into testifying at his $250 million civil fraud trial in Manhattan on Monday — pointing at the judge while accusing him of “fraud” and calling the state attorney general a “hack.”

Trump, 77, started his testimony in hushed tones, but lost his cool after Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron threatened to throw him out for making “speeches” instead of giving direct answers on the stand.

The 2024 GOP presidential front-runner began ranting that Engoron and state Attorney General Letitia James — who is bringing the case against him — were “trying to hurt” him.

Sam Bankman-Fried found guilty for fraud, but what about the federal government?

On Thursday, Sam Bankman-Fried was properly convicted for stealing $8 billion from customers. I wonder why brokers haven’t been punished for promoting FTX since they don’t appear to have properly researched the company?

For decades, the media, politicians, bureaucrats, the United Nations, scientists, educators, entertainers, and others have been running con games that dwarf the FTX scheme; so where’s their trial and conviction?

While Terrorists Tweet, I Was Censored for Telling the Truth About Islam

“Islam is built on the mass murder of innocent people”

I’ve never been on Team Musk. The new free Twitter is a hype machine that’s mostly smoke and mirrors. It favors certain famous users who talk about how free they feel while the rules haven’t actually changed for the vast majority.

And speaking of… I’ve now earned yet another badge of censored honor.

He is bang on about Twitter.

Gen Z has an Israel problem

Palestinians are the only victims that matter

It’s almost like a religious ritual. Every Saturday since 7 October, central London has swollen with protestors waving the Palestinian flag and chanting “From the River to the Sea”. For the impartial and curious observer, two facts are immediately striking. The first is not all that mysterious: the protestors are disproportionately Muslim. The second is more of an enigma: why are they so young?

The absolution of Hamas

How the West’s woke radicals became Hamas’s moral spindoctors.

Is Hamas now getting its talking points from Harvard University radicals? Something’s going on.

On 7 October, the day of Hamas’s apocalyptic pogrom against the Jews of southern Israel, 34 student groups at Harvard rushed out an open letter absolving Hamas of guilt for the ongoing horror. We ‘hold the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence’, said the self-righteous mob from the leafy, luxurious, non-blood-spattered lawns of Cambridge, Massachusetts. Israel is ‘the only one to blame’ for what is happening today, they said (my emphasis).

Just Stop Oil eco assholes smash protective glass of Rokeby Venus oil painting as they emulate Suffragette stunt at the National Gallery

Two Just Stop Oil eco-zealots have been arrested after smashing the protective glass on the Rokeby Venus painting at the National Gallery.

The activists sparked fury when a video was uploaded showing them hammering the glass of the priceless oil painting, shouting ‘it is time for deeds not words’.

The 17th-century painting, by Spanish artist Diego Velazquez, is the same artwork slashed by Canadian suffragette Mary Richardson with a butcher’s knife more than 100 years ago.

Israel may destroy Hamas — but then what?

Washington is frustrated that beyond bombing Gaza Netanyahu is failing to identify war aims the US thinks are attainable

An enduring British conceit, even after revelations about the ugliness of the 1950s anti-Mau Mau struggle, is that our forebears did imperial counter-insurgency nicely. In reality, while we were less cruel than the French and much less so than the Belgians, British operations relied more heavily upon force than hearts and minds.

In Kenya, though modern local estimates of 90,000 dead seem wildly exaggerated, a million people were relocated into “protected villages” and disease-ridden camps. It is sometimes claimed that we were victorious in Malaya thanks to Gen Sir Gerald Templer’s brilliant tactics. More important were Malayan loathing for the Chinese insurgents and London’s promise of independence.

If I were Israel I would not be providing the Biden regime with any more than the minimum needed.

BBC urged to publish ‘suppressed’ internal report on bias against Israel

The BBC must publish an internal report on anti-Israel bias that has been “suppressed” for almost two decades, a former attorney general has said.

Sir Michael Ellis, one of Britain’s most prominent Jewish politicians, made the demand in a letter to Tim Davie, the corporation’s director-general.

He warned that the broadcaster had “suffered worldwide reputational damage” over criticism of its reporting and its refusal to call Hamas terrorists.

Canada’s premiers united in their criticism of federal housing policy, carbon tax changes

Canada’s premiers lashed out at the federal government Monday, saying Ottawa is treading on thin ice by signing bilateral housing deals directly with municipalities while leaving provinces out of the mix.

The premiers also faulted Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for not having convened an in-person first ministers’ meeting in five years.

At a time when the country is facing a series of crises — a housing crunch, a stressed health-care system and big changes in climate policy — the country’s premiers need face-time with Trudeau, they said.

Shocka! MPs vote down Poilievre’s push to expand carbon price pause

The motion by Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre to have Ottawa extend its carbon price pause to all forms of home heating has been defeated as the Bloc Quebecois joined the Liberals to vote down the motion.

The non-binding motion, which meant it would not need to be acted on by the government, had the support of the NDP, but still failed to get a majority with 135 voting in favour while 186 voted against.
