Harper says right-leaning parties should have closer ties with Hungary

Former prime minister Stephen Harper says he wants closer ties between right-leaning political parties including the Conservative Party of Canada and the Hungarian government, who has been accused of democratic backsliding.

Harper chairs the International Democrat Union, a global alliance of right-leaning political parties that includes Canada’s Conservatives as well as the Fidesz Party led by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

Our media is “Outraged” or “Appalled” and Harper is Hitler of course.

Videos of unsold Bud Light go viral in wake of Dylan Mulvaney fiasco: ‘Garbage beer’

Social media users posted videos of unsold cases of Bud Light over the Fourth of July weekend as beer drinkers continue to shun the brand over its marketing partnership with transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

TikTok user Phillip Hawkins wandered into a local retailer and recorded a video showing 12 packs and 24 packs of Bud Light languishing on shelves and in the aisles despite parent company offering significant rebates.

One Canadian grocer is already putting metal security tags on steaks to prevent theft — will others follow?

When Ian Runkle set off the security alarm on his way out of an Edmonton Walmart in May, he didn’t pause for the store guard who called after him. Runkle had rightfully paid for all his groceries at the self-checkout, and as a criminal defence lawyer, knew his rights.

“I kept walking because I’m not really under any obligation to stop,” he said. When cooking dinner later that night, Runkle found the culprit — a small, metal security tag hidden under the label of the steak he had purchased. The checkout machine didn’t catch it.

Two ISIS monsters and three children on way home from detention camps in Syria

Two Canadian women and three children on way home from detention camps in Syria

OTTAWA – Two women and three children who were temporarily missing in Syria after failing to board a repatriation flight to Canada in April are finally on their way home.

The women and children were among a group of 19 people Canada agreed to bring home from Kurdish-operated prison camps in northeastern Syria in January.

They have been held for years at displaced persons camps in a region now controlled by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces.

Stupid move allowing murder cultists into your home.

There are also funding agreements between the US Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) and police forces in Uganda and Nigeria.

Yevgeny Prigozhin is still in Russia, the Belarusian president has claimed as bizarre photographs emerge of the Wagner mercenary leader disguised in wigs.

What is there to be said about Jill Biden?

What is the ultimate verdict on a woman like not-a-real-doctor Jill Biden? She has for at least four years now, with help from the malevolent left, been a willing party to the installation of her brain-addled husband into the Oval Office. As his infirmities become more and more obvious to the global public, Jill and her accomplices in crime continue to pretend that Joe is sentient, capable of being the president of the United States, when everyone knows he is not. He is done, gone. And yet his handlers continue to use and abuse him as if he were some ventriloquist huckster’s puppet. The man is an embarrassment on the world stage.

A new blasphemy battle is coming – Highly discriminate violence is on the rise

Last summer, Sir Salman Rushdie told a German magazine that some normality was finally returning to his life. Two weeks later, he was stabbed multiple times on stage in New York. The incident was a cruel reminder that, despite all the time elapsed and normality resumed, the fatwa against him was every bit as valid as the day it was announced: Valentine’s Day, 1989.

Why Europe riots

A spectre is haunting Europe. In France, Sweden, Germany, Belgium and even Switzerland, the rule of law is being challenged by the rule of gangs. Disaffected young people cut off from society feel nothing but nihilistic contempt for it. Higher temperatures and social media are creating a heated summer. Judging from recent events in Paris and Stockholm, this year could be the worst so far.

The rise of gang violence is associated with immigration. Europe has shown itself incapable or unwilling to control the influx of migrants, some of them genuine asylum seekers, others simply opportunists. Nor have European politicians succeeded in dealing with the problems created by immigration, despite spending billions on social projects. A European summit on immigration in Brussels last week ended without even a joint declaration. Emmanuel Macron was unable to attend. He was preoccupied with riots across France, following the fatal police shooting of Nahel Merzouk, a 17-year-old boy, in suburban Paris

What Just Stop Oil really wants

Forget the tactics of these activists. Their creepy, authoritarian, anti-human ideology is easily the worst thing about them.

Everyone’s fed up with Just Stop Oil. The eco-extremist troupe’s recent stunts – bringing traffic to a standstill with their ‘slow marches’ through London; disrupting play at the snooker, the cricket and now the tennis – have turned off even its natural allies. Last week, Californian millionaire Trevor Neilson, who once helped bankroll the group, said its activities had become ‘performative’ and ‘counterproductive’. Even Swampy (aka Daniel Hooper), the notorious, tunnel-digging eco-warrior of the 1990s, has distanced himself from Just Stop Oil. When asked by The Sunday Times whether he would storm the pitch at Lord’s, as JSO did last week, he said ‘I wouldn’t have thought so, no’, adding that greens today should focus on ‘bringing communities together’. When Swampy is telling you to tone it down, you know you’ve lost the room.

Why the UFO whistleblowers are getting a mixed reaction

David Grusch, a retired career intelligence officer, continues to generate attention with his claims that a secret UFO recovery program has operated beyond congressional oversight for decades. Grusch is receiving a mixed reception on and off Capitol Hill.

Still, the Senate Intelligence Committee’s vice chairman, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), appears to think Grusch might be on to something.

CBC News retracts report alleging email interference by Alberta Premier Danielle Smith’s office

CBC News is retracting a report alleging someone in Premier Danielle Smith’s office emailed Crown prosecutors to question and challenge the handling of cases involving COVID-19 protests in Alberta that blocked traffic at a U.S. border crossing for more than two weeks.

CBC made the announcement Wednesday in an unsigned editor’s note atop an amended online version of the original Jan. 19 story.

“Our sources have insisted that Crown prosecutors felt political pressure regarding the Coutts (Alta.) cases, but they are not able to confirm that the emails they originally described were sent directly from the premier’s office to the Crown,” said the editor’s note.
