Riley Gaines shows how she was punched twice by male cross-dresser – and blasts White House for saying the trans community is ‘under attack’

College swimming champion Riley Gaines has told how she was punched twice by a trans activist in a terrifying attack at a university campus – and laid blame squarely on the White House for ‘betraying’ women.

In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com’s Maureen Callahan, Gaines, 22, told how her assailant – who she says was a transgender woman – hit her first in the shoulder and then in the face before an undercover campus cop came to her rescue.

The swimmer said she was barricaded in a room at San Francisco State University for three hours to protect herself from the ‘vengeful’ mob who were demanding they be let in to ‘fight’ her. San Francisco police said there were no arrests.

What Tools Are Needed to Curb CCP Influence Efforts in Canada?

Fifty years ago, amid an escalating organized crime problem in the United States, it took the creation of specialized teams and an innovative law, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, to deal a serious blow to mob operations.

Today, facing an ever-growing influence and subversion operation by China’s communist regime targeting countries like Canada, what key tools can be developed to help ward off activities that are clearly against Canada’s interests yet our security apparatus and justice system seem helpless to counter?

It would probably help if we could jail Canada’s China class sellouts.

It will be interesting to see which side wins.

Lori Lightfoot 2.0! Chicago’s new liberal mayor blames BUSINESSES for spiraling violent crime because 70% ‘don’t pay corporate tax’ and low investment has caused poverty

Brandon Johnson – Looting Enthusiast

Chicago’s incoming liberal mayor has already raised eyebrows by blaming the city’s poverty problems and surging crime rates on businesses that don’t pay tax.

Brandon Johnson, a former union organizer who was elected on Tuesday, said the city doesn’t have money to solve its problem because ’70 percent of large corporations in the state of Illinois don’t pay a corporate tax’.

‘It’s that type of restraint on our budget that has caused the type if disinvestment that has led to poverty, of course that has led to violence,’ said Johnson, who didn’t give the source for his claim.

CHARLEBOIS: Ethics of grocery CEO compensation; what Loblaw should have done

While Canadians are often holding their breath as they approach their grocery store cash register these days, it appears our grocers’ C-Suite chains are just getting richer.

Xi Jinping’s 48-hour plan to invade Taiwan | Defence in Depth

As China learns from Russia’s failed invasion of Ukraine, it’s just a question of when, not if, Beijing moves on Taipei

The ripples from the war in Ukraine have spread far and wide; they’ve even reached the South China Sea – so it’s time to talk about Taiwan.

According to diplomatic sources in the UK, Beijing believes there is a 48-hour window in which it can attack Taiwan before any international consensus forms.

In that time Chinese forces would need to get across the Taiwan Strait, onto the land and cut off the political and military leadership in Taiwan.

That’s a tall order.

Can Elon Musk’s Neuralink tech really read your mind

Brain implant devices could have transformative Impacts on human health. But what about their boasted sci-fi capabilities?

ʺThe future is going to be weird,ʺ Elon Musk said in 2020, as he explained potential uses of the brain implants developed by his neurotechnology company Neuralink.

Over the past seven years, the company has been developing a computer chip designed to be implanted into the brain, where it monitors the acitivity of thousands of neurons.

The chip — officially considered a “brain-computer interface” (BCI) — consists of a tiny probe containing more than 3,000 electrodes attached to flexible threads thinner than a human hair.

Crucifixes rise across France in message that ‘this is a Christian country’

Balanced on a tractor fork, the crucified Christ rises. Those gathered to watch sing hymns, gazing up at a five-metre cross towering above them as it is lowered into a stone plinth on the roadside.

The scene is not common in a nation where the separation of church and state was enshrined under a 1905 law that made it illegal to erect new religious symbols in public spaces.

Well done. But late to the field?

Populism is back

European voters are once again fighting back against a distant, globalist establishment.

I’m sitting in a bar at the Place du Luxembourg, near the European Parliament in Brussels. My two drinking companions are policy advisers who work with members of the mainstream conservative European People’s Party (EPP). They really don’t like what I have to say.

Introducing ‘The Nations of Canada’

When I was a middle schooler growing up in Montreal four decades ago, I was taught almost nothing about Indigenous Canadian history. “Real history” supposedly began when Europeans showed up in boats to build settlements, spread Christianity, catch fish, and make money. Indigenous civilization, on the other hand, was compressed into a few pages, or even paragraphs—these being largely devoted to Indigenous practices that Europeans found instructive (often life-savingly so) in relation to hunting, foraging, and weathering the elements.
