Conrad Black: A moral imperative for Trudeau Liberals to resign

In 1973, after Pierre Trudeau had pulled in only two MPs ahead of Progressive Conservative Leader Robert Stanfield, with David Lewis’s NDP holding the balance of power, the government was unexpectedly defeated in a parliamentary vote and Stanfield announced the existence of a ”moral imperative” for Trudeau to resign or request a new election. Instead, Trudeau redoubled incentives for the NDP and had a motion adopted declaring that the previous lost vote was of no significance, and soldiered on in the imperishable Liberal confidence that they are the natural and ordained party of government. That is not an incomprehensible conviction given that in the past 126 years, since the elevation of Wilfrid Laurier in 1896, the Liberals have governed for 86 years.

Sky News Stealth Edits Uncritical Story on ‘Chechen Jihadis‘ in Ukraine

Comcast-owned Sky News has stealth edited an uncritical article about “Chechen jihadis” fighting the Russians in Ukraine, heavily deemphasising their “jihadi” status.

In a bizarre article based on on-the-ground interviews with Chechens fighting alongside Ukrainian forces in the embattled Donbas city of Bakhmut, the British broadcaster highlighted a variety of weapons including suicide vests devised by the Muslim fighters, and their “hope they can one day take their holy war back to their homeland of Chechnya.”

Details of $463K Christmas Day bank heist revealed in labour battle between Brink’s and fired guard

On Christmas Day 2016, four people wearing flesh-toned masks and winter clothing made what you might call the ultimate in unauthorized withdrawals from five bank machines in Langley, B.C.

They stole nearly half a million dollars in a Yuletide heist that has never resulted in charges, or even public disclosure — until now.

The main suspect in the robbery — a former Brink’s Company guard — has been fighting to get his job back since the global security firm fired him in November 2018. And Brink’s has been trying to get him to pay back $463,220 it shelled out to make things whole for the victim bank.

White parole officer claims bosses ignored threats against her in racial discrimination suit

A white Brooklyn parole officer claims that she was racially discriminated against by colleagues who called her a “snowcone” and superiors who made it “impossible” for her to do her job.

Samantha Rys, 51, filed a lawsuit in Manhattan Federal Court this week against her two supervisors, Sabrina Davis and Tanya Johnson, both of whom are black, alleging that they did nothing to protect her when one of her parolees began threatening to rape, kill and dismember her last year.

Polar bears vanishing from ‘polar bear capital of the world’ in Canada

Polar bears are disappearing fast from the western part of Hudson Bay on the southern tip of the Canadian Arctic, according to a government survey.

The report said there had been a dramatic decline in the of number of female bears and cubs in particular.

Researchers have flown over the region, which includes the town of Churchill, a tourist destination touted as the “polar bear capital of the world”, every five years to count the number of bears and extrapolate population trends.

You just know that this “study” will be contradicted by another.

Afghanistan protests: Taliban use water cannon on women opposing university ban

The Taliban have used a water cannon to disperse a group of women protesting against the ban on female students in Afghanistan attending university.

Videos on social media showed the women taking cover in a lane in the city of Herat to escape a powerful stream of water.

Dozens of women holding a protest march could be heard shouting slogans including: “Education is our right”.

In one clip, women could be heard shouting: “The Taliban are cowards.”

Biden Forced to Retreat as Military Troops Who Opposed Covid Vaccine Mandate Get Major Victory

The U.S. Department of Defense is halting all actions relating to its COVID-19 vaccine mandate after President Joe Biden signed a bill—the Fiscal 2023 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)—that includes an end to the mandate, the department said on Dec. 23.

“The NDAA requires that, not later than 30 days after enactment, the Secretary of Defense rescind the mandate that members of the Armed Forces be vaccinated against COVID-19. As a result, the Department will rescind the mandate and is currently in the process of developing further guidance. During this process, we are pausing all actions related to the COVID-19 vaccine mandate,” a Pentagon spokesperson told The Epoch Times in an email.

America as a nation had been attacked like never before just weeks earlier; the horrors of Pearl Harbor were on the minds of every patriot.

It was rumored the annual Christmas Tree lighting would be canceled. Instead, 20,000 people came to see it, seeking some light in a very dark world.

‘Why do you hate Christians?’: Massachusetts residents blast library amid Christmas drama

Town leaders in Dedham, Massachusetts, felt the wrath of its residents after a local library initially chose not to display a Christmas tree during the holiday season.

While the library ultimately reversed that decision after public outcry, residents at a town hall meeting continued to question the Endicott Branch Library’s motives.

“Why do you hate Christians so much?” one resident asked the officials after one woman said everyone deserved to have their beliefs represented and that a Christmas tree display was “a symbol of Christianity.”

Border town of El Paso scrambles as more migrants risk it all to reach US

After walking around downtown for hours, two young Colombian men stood across from the El Paso Chihuahuas baseball team’s stadium, looking for a shelter that immigration officials had mentioned.

A security guard who didn’t speak Spanish grasped their need and pointed towards the convention center.

“We went to a bus station, but there’s no tickets available for three days,” Duvan Avendaño said, hugging his arms to his chest in the freezing temperatures.

It continually baffles me why these Democratic bastions go for the most mediocre – sometimes outright malevolent – hands down worst choices every single time. City residents watch their world dissolve around them, solely through the actions of the very individuals they return to office time and time again, yet nothing but nothing will shake them free of their mindless devotion to their own destruction. New York City’s a terrific example of that mindset.
