Amanda Eskenasi: CBC fed Canadians a biased view of the Israel-Hamas war — and the data proves it

Public trust in media institutions does not erode all at once. It weakens gradually, through patterns that go unexamined and assumptions that go unchallenged — particularly when a public broadcaster is expected to serve a unifying role in a polarized society, as the CBC is evidently expected to do in Canada. It is in precisely this context that our recent independent study on the CBC’s coverage of the Israel-Hamas war was produced.

Rooting for Chaos and Lawlessness? Demonizing ICE—in Europe

Progressives will be progressives, regardless of which continent they happen to live on. And they always seem to be on the side of those who despise law and order and never on the side of the ‘normies’ who bear the consequences of the normalization of lawlessness.

European liberal media are acting as the cohorts of the U.S. leftist press when it comes to covering the shameful incitement by progressive actors and the deranged attacks by protesters against ICE officials in Minnesota. Those responsible for the chaos are glorified, while those working to enforce the law and make the United States safer are regularly demonized.

I’m a conservative who believed in Doug Ford. His credibility is collapsing

When Premier Doug Ford first swept into office, he promised to clean up the mess. Ontario had endured years of Liberal scandals: gas plants, eHealth, hydro costs, etc. Reminders of how insider politics corrodes public trust.

Ford did not run as an ideologue. His pitch was simpler. He would look out for the little guy, spend tax dollars wisely, and restore trust, accountability and common sense at Queen’s Park.

Ford revealed his true colours very early on and bear in mind the author is a Toronto Star conservative who takes seeming offense at labeling ChiCom EV’s “spy cars” which in fact they are.

We were warned he was nothing like his legendary brother Rob and that was said by “conservatives” hoping to ease the anxiety of fence sitters.

He’s a Liberal doing what Liberals do identity politics, crony capitalism, while maintaining a strong aversion to anything perceived to be “Right Wing”.

I do have some sympathy for Ford, right now Ontario is caught in a vise between Trump and the Laurentian elite and a great deal of  unavoidable pain lies ahead for all of us.

I’ve reported on UFO sightings for decades — and come to this conclusion

On Jan. 13, Vermont legislator Troy Headrick (I) proposed creating a state task force that would get to the bottom of “unidentified anomalous phenomena,” or UAPs, that appeared to be buzzing about U.S. military air bases. Days later, Helen McCaw, a former senior analyst in financial security at the Bank of England, urged the bank’s governor to prepare for possible financial collapse should the White House disclose the existence of alien intelligence.

For the most part he makes a good argument but he dismisses the Navy videos and aviator testimony a little too conveniently.

How ICE Already Knows Who Minneapolis Protesters

On the morning of Jan. 10, Nicole Cleland was in her car trailing an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent through Richfield, Minn., her hometown.

Suddenly, the agent turned into a series of one-way streets and stopped, getting out of his white Dodge Ram, said Ms. Cleland, who volunteers with a local watchdog group that observes the activity of immigration officers. The agent then walked over to Ms. Cleland’s car and surprised her by addressing her as Nicole.

“He said he had facial recognition and that his body camera was on,” said Ms. Cleland, 56, who had not met the agent before.

Indian gangs are terrorising Canada

South Asian communities across Canada are being terrorised by gangs – and city officials in Surrey, BC are calling on the federal government to declare a national state of emergency.

The crimes follow a distinctive pattern. South Asian gangs demand money from members of their own communities. Intimidation, threats and even shootings follow. Gang members drive to someone’s home or business, and video themselves shooting at buildings and vehicles. They then post the recording online or send it to the target, with threats of worse to come if payment is not made.

Are America’s Bishops Cowardly — or Just Greedy?

America’s Catholic hierarchy preaches open borders but whispers about abortion.

In the late fifth century, St. Patrick, the Apostle of Ireland, wrote a letter to the army of the British warlord Coroticus, condemning the practice of slavery. He did so not because condemning the then-profitable slave trade put a penny in his pocket (it did not) but because it was the right thing to do, in accord with Christian moral teaching. Over a century later, St. Benedict of Nursia held himself and his fellow monks to such a high moral standard that some of his own monks tried to assassinate him. While many pioneers went to the New World in search of gold, St. Isaac Jogues went to save souls, and gave his life in the process. St. Peter Claver ministered to slaves in the 16th century, baptizing souls that the wealthy traders considered property.

‘Very high level’: Alberta separatist group won’t say which Trump officials it met with

While an Alberta separatist group confirms it had meetings with U.S. officials over the past year, its leaders won’t say which members of U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration they have spoken with directly.

“We’re meeting at a very high level,” Alberta Prosperity Project legal counsel Jeffrey Rath said in an interview with CTV’s Question Period airing Sunday.

When asked by host Vassy Kapelos whether those officials would be recognizable to Canadians, Rath said “probably,” but would not confirm whether Stephen Miller, Trump’s homeland security adviser, was among them.

Is Trump Being Bamboozled?: Islamic State Terrorists Threaten Comeback Thanks to His Support for Syria’s Islamist Leader

US President Donald Trump’s campaign to prevent Islamic State (IS) terrorists from staging a comeback is in serious danger of being undermined because of his support for Syria’s Islamist “interim” president, Ahmed al-Sharaa.

It was not that long ago that al-Sharaa had a $10 million bounty on his head after Washington designated him a terrorist for his close links to al-Qaeda in both Iraq and Syria.

Trump threatens to sue Michael Wolff, Epstein estate — and insists fresh document dump absolves him

President Trump has threatened to sue discredited author Michael Wolff, as well as the estate of Jeffrey Epstein — as he insists that the latest mass dump of files related to the pedophile financier absolves him.

“I didn’t see it myself but I was told by some very important people that not only does it absolve me, it’s the opposite of what people were hoping, you know, the radical left,” Trump told reporters on Air Force One as he flew to Florida late Saturday night.
