The public is fed up with wacky gender ideology. So why is it still being forced on us?

Virtue-signalling businesses have failed to grasp that the public has no interest in overzealous wokery

Lately, in Britain, there has been a sense that things are moving in the right direction in the ongoing war between the trans lobby and women fighting for sex-based rights.

Last week, thanks to a Telegraph exclusive, it was announced that Mermaids, a charity for trans or “gender diverse” youths, would be investigated by the Charity Commission for sending breast binding devices – which can be physically dangerous – to girls without their parents knowing, and telling children that puberty blocking drugs are “totally reversible”.

Iran: The Chained Volcano

“The white giant in chains!” This is how Bahar, one of Iran’s greatest contemporary poets, describes Mount Damvand, the towering volcano that looms over the horizon in the Tehran region.

At the end of his qasida (ode) Bahar pleads with the volcano to end its silence with an explosion of fire and lava to “cleanse the world of tyranny and corruption”.

For the past two weeks, the nationwide uprising across Iran has reminded many Iranians of Bahar’s poem with the question: Has the volcano begun its final eruption?

Nolte: Woke ‘Bros‘ Delivers Another Weekend Box Office Bust

For those wondering how the box office could get any worse than September, which was the worst September in 25 years, I have an answer for you: how about the first weekend of October?

The woketards at TheWrap assured us Bros, an R-rated, homosexual romantic comedy released in 3,350 theaters, would — and I quote — “Kick Off Box Office Revival.”

Why would anyone think that?

Britain has ‘too many’ low-skilled migrants, interior minister says

Britain has too many low-skilled migrant workers and very high numbers of international students, who often brought dependents with them, the country’s new interior minister Suella Braverman said in an interview with The Sun on Sunday newspaper.

Braverman said new Prime Minister Liz Truss’s government aimed to stick to a 2019 election pledge to lower net migration in an interview ahead of the ruling Conservative Party’s annual conference.

In Canada it’s “racist” to discuss reductions in immigration but as in Britain Big Business cries for more slaves.

10 torture sites in 1 town: Russia sowed pain, fear in Izium

IZIUM, Ukraine (AP) — The first time the Russian soldiers caught him, they tossed him bound and blindfolded into a trench covered with wooden boards for days on end.

Then they beat him, over and over: Legs, arms, a hammer to the knees, all accompanied by furious diatribes against Ukraine. Before they let him go, they took away his passport and Ukrainian military ID — all he had to prove his existence — and made sure he knew exactly how worthless his life was.

“No one needs you,” the commander taunted. “We can shoot you any time, bury you a half-meter underground and that’s it.”

Canada remains fascinated by the symbolic side of Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine

… The latest example of Putin’s alleged deviousness has to do with leaks in an undersea Russian gas pipeline that traverses the Baltic.

The pro-Ukraine side blames Russia. Moscow, they say, is responsible for deliberately causing the leak.

Why would Russia sabotage its own pipeline? The pro-Ukraine side provides no coherent explanation beyond the belief, expressed as fact, that Putin is irrationally evil.

By definition, these people say, Russia is playing a dangerous double game. It cannot be treated as a normal country.

This is very odd coming from The Star

Portland mayor Ted Wheeler LAUGHS at woman who confronts him over homelessness crisis

A woman who says she moved to Portland, Oregon for its progressive values has accused the mayor of scoffing at her after she confronted him over the city’s homelessness crisis.

At a virtual city council meeting on Wednesday, Gillian Rose slammed Portland’s handling of its homeless population, saying the squalid encampments that are pervasive around the city make life miserable for residents.

‘You have to stop enabling this,’ said a visibly emotional Rose. ‘I’m angry and I’m sad and I’m fed up, and I’m so sick of having politicians pander to a woke agenda that’s been nothing short of an epic failure.’

Knife crime hits record high as one in six cases solved in London

Criminals are being ‘emboldened’ by declining prosecution rates

As few as one in six crimes involving a knife, including murders, rapes and grievous bodily harm, are being solved by police as the number of offences hits a record high in parts of England and Wales.

Analysis of police data by The Telegraph revealed that seven police forces – a quarter of the total in England and Wales – saw knife crime hit a record high in the year ending March 2022.

However, the proportion of knife offences resulting in a charge or other criminal sanction fell by at least 50 per cent in the past six years, despite the seriousness of the crimes and the risk posed to the public.
