DOOM Foretold! Climate change will cost Canada $139 billion due to flooding, drought and other disasters, report finds

Between droughts, flooding and rainstorms, Canada’s changing climate could lead to a significant decrease in the country’s GDP over the next generation, according to a report from engineering firm GHD.

The impact of water-related risks in Canada could mean a cumulative loss of $139 billion through 2050, or 0.2 per cent of economic activity in that period, the report says. Titled “Aquanomics,” the report examines the impact of future water risks across seven countries, including Canada, the U.K., the U.S., Australia, China, the Philippines and the U.A.E.

Seems the authors of this piece may have a monetary interest in “remediation.” Has even one of the climate cult’s prophecies come to be?

More than 40% of Americans think civil war likely within a decade

More than two-fifths of Americans believe civil war is at least somewhat likely in the next 10 years, according to a new survey – a figure that increases to more than half among self-identified “strong Republicans”.

Amid heated rhetoric from supporters of Donald Trump, the findings, in research by YouGov and the Economist, follow similar results in other polls.

On Sunday night, the South Carolina senator Lindsey Graham predicted “riots in the streets” if Trump is indicted over his retention of classified documents after leaving the White House, materials recovered by the FBI at Trump’s home this month.

DND postpones change of command as military police probe comments at airbase event

Canada’s air force has postponed the installation of a new commander at one of the country’s two main fighter jet bases after military police launched an investigation earlier this summer into alleged inappropriate remarks at an informal gathering.

The Department of National Defence is staying tight-lipped about the specifics of the incident. It’s alleged to have taken place at the 4 Wing airbase in Cold Lake, Alta., on June 23, 2022, in the course of something called a call-sign review board — an event during which call-signs, or nicknames, are assigned to pilots and aircrew weapons controllers.

Feds to conduct ‘extensive review’ of anti-racism racism funding after Laith Marouf scandal

The Minister of Diversity and Inclusion is taking extra steps to make sure that the anti-racism strategy funded by the federal government does not, in fact, contribute to more racism.

… Hussen’s department is now going to conduct an “extensive review” of the funding that is being distributed through the anti-racism strategy to ensure that no additional funds are redirected to organizations or individuals who promote hateful content.

What a croc. Marouf was hired because he is a racist.

Enbridge Line 5: Canada invokes 1977 treaty again over dispute

The Canadian government is invoking for the second time in less than a year a 1977 treaty that will force the American government to negotiate over the fate of Enbridge’s Line 5 pipeline.

Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly announced the invocation of the treaty in a statement on Monday, pointing to the “significant” impact shutting down the pipeline would carry for Canadian jobs and bills.

US will need to build 478 EV charging ports EVERY DAY for the next eight years at a cost of $35B to meet demand for 1.2M public ports by 2030 (And that’s not counting the 28M needed in homes!)

America would have to install 30 million electronic vehicle charging ports by 2030 if half of drivers switch to EVs by the time California’s ban on gas cars takes effect.

If half of all vehicles sold are zero-emission by 2030, the country would need 1.2 million public chargers and 28 million private chargers by that year – which a McKinsey report claims would cost more than $35 billion over eight years.

Electric vehicle sales have been climbing by double digits each year since 2016, but over half of US consumers cite battery or charging issues as their main concerns – and it’s fair to say the limited network of public charging stations is a roadblock for many buyers.

And how many reactors will need to be built because Wind & Solar will provide squat.

Public safety minister considering security options for politicians after Freeland harassment

OTTAWA – Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino says the federal government is looking at its options when it comes to increasing security for politicians, adding the harassment many face represents a threat to democracy. He says that as the security situation becomes “more and more complex,” there’s a need to “bring the temperature down.”

This comes following a video posted online this weekend of Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland being harassed in Alberta. The video shows a man yelling profanities at the minister in the lobby of Grande Prairie, Alta.’s city hall, before she and her staff enter the elevator.

How the ‘Queen of Canada’ is making inroads into the U.S., Australia and beyond

Romana Didulo is a Canadian conspiracy theorist who falsely asserts she is the queen and ruler of Canada. On her instructions, some of her disciples recently attempted to arrest police officers in southern Ontario.

The plan was then to turn the police over to the military to be tried as war criminals. If convicted of crimes against humanity, the police officers would be executed, according to Didulo. Instead, her followers were arrested and charged with assaulting police officers.

The Left Suddenly Discovers Free Speech to Force Transgender Indoctrination on Children

Red states are working to protect little kids.

Oh, look! The liberals are interested in free speech all of a sudden.

It took state legislatures’ passage of laws to shield little kids from indoctrination on transgenderism — not to mention on hating America — to rouse the Left from its censorious stupor, but now its various mouthpieces are voicing outrage over the “inconsistency” of the attempts of conservatives — the paladins of free speech — to limit what can be taught in public school classrooms. Are those Emersonian hobgoblins we see dancing about?

French tax officials use AI to spot 20,000 undeclared pools

French tax authorities using AI software have found thousands of undeclared private swimming pools, landing the owners with bills totalling about €10m.

The system, developed by Google and Capgemini, can identify pools on aerial images and cross-checks them with land registry databases. Launched as an experiment a year ago in nine French departments, it has uncovered 20,356 pools, the tax office said on Monday, and will be extended across the country.

Why are lesbians no longer welcome at Pride?

The lesbian group Get The L Out UK, founded to protest gender ideology and the pressure on same-sex attracted women to date trans women, joined Pride Cymru yesterday to make their voices heard amidst a sea of hostility. Ever since the trans movement decided that lesbians who reject sleeping with trans women are somehow morally deficient, same-sex attracted women have been harassed, defamed and abused in the name of trans equality. Get the L Out represent those old-fashioned lesbians that reject the penis and all that is attached to it.

As a lesbian that came out in the Life on Mars days of the 1970s, when I was told, on a regular basis, that all I needed was a ‘good f––’ to ‘straighten’ me out, I have watched with horror at the vilification of lesbians for firmly rejecting men that claim to be women from their dating pool.
