Toronto police refuse participation in Ottawa’s gun grab

Liberals outsourced gun grab to foreigner

TORONTO — Toronto Police Service has declined to participate in the federal government’s gun grab program, according to Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree.

The decision comes as the Liberal government prepares alternative methods to collect prohibited firearms in Ontario, including the use of so-called mobile collection units. These units would be staffed by off-duty Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers or local police officers, the minister said.

Trump steps up demand to annex Greenland but rules out using force

Donald Trump has stepped up his demand to annex Greenland in an extraordinary speech in Davos, but said the US would not use force to seize what he called the “big, beautiful piece of ice”.

Addressing thousands of business and political leaders at the World Economic Form in the Swiss ski resort, the US president said he was “seeking immediate negotiations to once again discuss the acquisition of Greenland by the United States”.

“I don’t want to use force. I won’t use force. All the US is asking for is a place called Greenland,” he said. “You can say yes, and we will be very appreciative. Or you can say no and we will remember.”

Carney leaving Davos without meeting Trump after speech on U.S. rupture of world order

Did Carney just signal a massive shift in Canada’s foreign policy direction? …. Yea It’s called the “Brookfield Position”

Carney Fades Away

Prime Minister Mark Carney turned some heads in Switzerland on Tuesday with his stark assessment of the current state of global affairs.

Speaking at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Carney said that not only is the old international order over and “not coming back” — but it had been a mirage all along.

“We knew the story of the international rules-based order was partially false. That the strongest would exempt themselves when convenient. That trade rules were enforced asymmetrically. And we knew that international law applied with varying rigour depending on the identity of the accused or the victim,” the prime minister said.

Trump is shaking the world order more than any president since WW2

On day one, he put the world on notice.

“Nothing will stand in our way,” President Donald Trump declared, to thunderous applause, as he ended his inauguration speech in a cold Washington winter on this day last year, at the start of his second term.

Did the world fail to take enough notice?

Tucked into his speech was a mention of the 19th Century doctrine of “manifest destiny” – the idea that the US was divinely ordained to expand its territory across the continent, spreading American ideals.

Nearly a fifth of Americans now ‘prefer’ that Canada become a U.S. state or territory, poll suggests

17 per cent of Americans support Canada becoming either a territory or the 51st State of the U.S. — but two-thirds stand by its sovereignty, a new poll suggests.

The findings come amid U.S. President Donald Trump‘s ambitions to seize Greenland, a self-governing territory of fellow NATO member Denmark, after capturing former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and toppling his government earlier this month.

But according to the survey by public opinion pollster Research Co., most respondents don’t want the U.S. to take over Greenland. Nor do they want Panama, Cuba or Mexico under American control.

This time, Trump’s threats to Europe look deadly serious

Some hope his moves on Greenland are a ploy to force Europe to take Arctic security seriously. That seems highly optimistic

Never before has a Truth Social post generated such anger and fear across the European continent. The message: Europe’s largest economies will have to pay an additional 10pc tariff, rising to 25pc in June, until Greenland is part of the United States. On Monday, the author, Donald Trump, reiterated the threat and vowed that he was 100pc committed to executing it if Washington’s European allies didn’t get with the programme.

‘A Black Day for the PVV’ as 7 MPs Leave the Party

The lawmakers said the right-wing nationalist party lost the election “because Wilders had lost interest.”

In a shocking turn of events, the largest rightwing party in the Netherlands, the Partij voor de Vrijheid (PVV), led by Geert Wilders, has been dealt another major blow. After a disappointing election result in which the party lost 11 seats, seven out of the remaining 26 members of parliament announced on Wednesday that they are breaking with the PVV. The MPs will form a new parliamentary group under the name Group Markuszower, named after Gidi Markuszower, one of the most prominent figures behind the split.

Trump unchained

He has purged government agencies and sent the Department of Justice against perceived enemies. He has launched an immigration crackdown and deployed troops into cities. He has built a tariff wall around the economy. And he has suborned businesses and universities, forcing them to pay hefty sums of money and follow his orders.

In his first year back in the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump has markedly expanded the power of his office and wielded control over the world’s wealthiest country in unprecedented ways. Now, he is seeking to project that power outward. Since attacking Venezuela to capture its leader and take its oil, Mr. Trump has threatened to invade Greenland, send troops into Mexico and Colombia, and bomb Iran.

A lot of well heeled whining goin on. Watch the globalists choke.

Trump tells Nato: We’ll work something out in Davos

President Trump will confront fellow Nato leaders who accuse him of unravelling the global order in Davos on Wednesday, insisting that “we will work something out” after his threats to seize Greenland shook Europe’s alliance with the United States.

Accused by President Macron of France of creating “a world without rules”, Trump continued his menacing approach when asked how far he was prepared to go to acquire the Danish territory, saying: “You’ll find out.”

Earlier he took another swipe at Nato, saying: “Whether you like it or not, it’s only as good as we [the US] are.” But when asked whether he was prepared to sacrifice Nato for Greenland, he indicated that he was coming to Switzerland to talk about a deal.

President Trump’s Davos address is scheduled for 8:30 AM to 9:15 AM EST.

I will post the WEF Youtube channel.
