Why Is Russia Losing So Much Military Equipment In Ukraine?

Russia has reportedly lost more than 650 tanks and about 3,000 other armored vehicles and heavy equipment so far in its invasion of Ukraine. Experts put the losses down to the advanced anti-tank weapons given to Ukraine by Western countries, poor strategy, low morale, and important design flaws.

Ukraine says Russia has lost almost 1,200 tanks, a number that we cannot verify. However, the military and intelligence blog Oryx, which counts Russian military equipment losses in Ukraine based on photographs sent from the front lines, says Russia has lost 664 tanks (as of May 13, 2022) and about 3,000 other armored vehicles and heavy equipment so far.

Fish fingers containing Russian whitefish still on sale across UK

Fish fingers sold in most UK supermarkets use whitefish caught by Russian ships, despite many chains pledging to boycott Russian produce.

While supermarkets have taken steps to signal their solidarity with Ukraine, rebranding their chicken kievs as kyivs and taking Russian vodka off the shelves, they have carried on buying its fish.

Big brands such as Birds Eye and Young’s, as well as most major supermarkets, including Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Morrisons and Asda, still use Russian-caught fish.

Buy their oil and gas and their fish sticks. Great.

Candace Owens releases video of visit to tearful BLM leader totally debunking claims of harassment

Conservative author and commentator Candace Owens turned the tables on Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors who claimed that she was harassed after Owens paid a visit to her home last week to get answers about the organization’s controversial deal for a $6 million California mansion.

Following Owens’ trip to her Topanga Canyon residence, Cullors posted a tearful video to Instagram accusing the popular pundit of endangering the safety of her family, claiming that the attempt to get answers on the scandalous real estate transaction had the potential to open up the “floodgates of many other right wing people that may next time be bearing arms.”

Google warns online news bill could make it subsidize biased news outlets – Like Sputnik, or CBC

OTTAWA — Google is warning that the federal government’s online news bill could force it to subsidize non-authoritative or biased news sources, such as the Russian state-sponsored news agency Sputnik.

But the organization representing Canada’s news media industry says the wording of the bill is tight and specifically excludes outlets that promote the interests of an organization.

Google argues the bill’s definition of an eligible news source is so broad that non-professional news outlets with two or more journalists in Canada, including those funded by foreign states, could be eligible for payment from tech giants.

Dress code offenders feel wrath of Ottawa Police

Somewhat exaggerated stock photo

‘Aggressive’ Ottawa police response to high school dress code protest draws criticism

Ottawa police are being criticized for their response to a student protest outside a Catholic high school over a dress code “blitz,” particularly in contrast to how they responded to the “Freedom Convoy” blockade earlier this year.

Students held a large protest outside Béatrice-Desloges Catholic High School in Orléans during lunch break Friday, a day after students say teachers called several female students out of class for alleged violations of the school dress code.

Beats me.

Liberal Media Desperate: Revive Kim Campbell To Critique CPC … Next Up Robert Stanfield

From Poilievre’s banking pledges to absent climate talk, former PM Campbell questions direction of Conservative Party

Amid discussions about the battle for the soul of the Conservative Party, former Prime Minister Kim Campbell says without leadership on policies such as climate change, the party’s identity will remain in question.

“I’m sorry, if you’re not worried about climate change, and you’re not worried about resurgent authoritarianism, and you’re not a champion of the rights of women to make the contributions they need to make in society, I’m not interested,” she said in an interview on CTV’s Question Period airing Sunday.

This is really aimed at Poilievre. I don’t think he’s going to be the savior of the Conservative party but no question his popularity strikes the LPC media as dangerous. Kim sounds like the Liberal Harpy she always was, just a bit more shrill.

The demolition of Kharkiv

‘Welcome to hell,’ a resident tells me as I arrive

“I will not talk to anyone who calls this war a ‘conflict’! Bye!” The angry response surprises me. I’m typing a message on Facebook chat while I dash through a street in Odessa, buying last minute supplies for my trip to Ukraine’s second city, Kharkiv. A mutual friend has told me to get in touch with a contact she knows there. “Hi, Nataliya,” I type. “I’m interested in covering the work you’re doing documenting Russian war crimes in this conflict.”

‘I quit the Wagner group after the Kremlin sent me to Syria – here’s why’

Ex-Wagner Group fighter says recruiters asked him to fight alongside invading force, but he knew that Putin’s men weren’t up to the task

The Russian military’s failure to seize the Ukrainian capital was inevitable because in the preceding years they had never directly faced a powerful enemy, according to a former mercenary with the Kremlin-linked Wagner Group who fought alongside the Russian army.

Marat Gabidullin took part in Wagner Group missions on the Kremlin’s behalf in Syria and in a previous conflict in Ukraine, before deciding to go public about his experience inside the secretive private military company.

Feds and media ignoring doubling of mortality among young and middle-aged adults in latest data

Something is killing off large numbers of 25- to 54-year-olds in the United States, and the powers that be in government and the media are pretending it is not happening. There is no visible effort to study the alarming statistics gathered by actuaries for the life insurance industry, which keeps track of deaths because they directly impact their bottom line through claims from the insured.

How Zuckerberg Used a Tax-Exempt Foundation to Help Biden Fix the 2020 Election

Everybody to the right of Alexandria Ocasio Cortez knows that the root cause of the crisis facing America — the most serious since the Civil War — is lawlessness. And everybody not under the spell of the Democrat spin machine understands that the lawlessness begins at the top, with government and the many agencies of the executive branch who are tasked by our Constitution with enforcing the law. Whether by failing to enforce our immigration statutes, or failing to prosecute criminals in our streets, or violating our election procedures to favor one party, Democrat administrations in our nation’s capital and our major cities have brazenly supported criminal behavior carried out by Black Lives Matter rioters, common street thugs, and anti-Supreme Court agitators seeking to extort decisions by fear. The effect has been to systematically undermine the rule of law, stoke the fires of anarchy, and sow chaos in our institutions.

The First Rule of Gay Club Is You DO NOT Talk About Gay Club! Groomer Teachers Plot on Zoom

The groomer teachers just will not stop trying to indoctrinate your kids into the rainbow cult behind your back. It’s amazing to me that they object to the term “groomer” and then actively plot to have secrets with children about sexuality. It is the definition of “grooming.” Christina Buttons, who calls herself a “reformed SJW,” has footage of a leaked Zoom call between teachers that was organized by GenderInClassrooms.com. This website purports to be “created by teachers for teachers” and “dedicated to equipping educators with the tools they need to foster safe, welcoming gender-inclusive classrooms.”

Protester says Amy Coney Barrett, who gave birth five times, doesn’t understand pregnancy

Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett has given birth five times, but a protester in front of her house said the conservative jurist doesn’t realize what it’s like to undergo a full-term pregnancy.

The unidentified woman spoke with a reporter on Wednesday as she and six others garbed in red cloaks walked back and forth in front of the justice’s home in Falls Church, Virginia, as shown on video posted by Fox News Digital.

Elon Musk and the battle for control of the internet

The globalist elites are determined to crush Musk’s dream of a freer social media.

We’ve all enjoyed the meltdown over Elon Musk’s buyout of Twitter. Celebs have stomped off Twitter in a huff at the horrific prospect of a tad more free speech on the platform. Commentators have exhausted their thumbs by scouring their thesauruses for the most shrill language with which to denounce Musk’s racist / supremacist / fascistic decision to dig his claws into social media. Campaigners have wailed that Musk’s takeover may be good news for the ‘most deceitful political smut peddlers’ but it’s dreadful for the rest of us. It might even kill us. Musk-owned Twitter will be ‘lethal’ says the Guardian’s George Monbiot. That’s lethal as in ‘sufficient to cause death’. To the bunker!

Whitmer Hoax Defendant: ‘We Beat Them. We Got Justice’

Historically, American juries have hesitated to find the nation’s top law enforcement agency guilty of setting up other Americans. But Brandon Caserta had the goods.

On October 13, 2020, a judge denied Brandon Caserta’s release from custody less than a week after federal authorities arrested him at his workplace for conspiring to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer. U.S. Magistrate Judge Sally Berens, relying mostly on evidence produced by the Justice Department, ruled Caserta posed a danger to the community and would be held awaiting trial.

While acknowledging Caserta broke no law by attending field training events in 2020—exercises organized by FBI agents and informants—Berens focused on texts posted by Caserta in an encrypted group chat that allegedly discussed threats against law enforcement.
