Babies for sale – why surrogacy is little better than slavery

Babies for sale – why surrogacy is little better than slavery

LAST week a Florida judge reignited a debate that much of the modern West has tried desperately to avoid: what exactly is surrogacy?

For years, surrogacy has been wrapped in the language of compassion, empowerment and ‘family creation’. Celebrities celebrate it. Corporations market it. Politicians avoid scrutinising it too closely. Critics are dismissed as extremists, religious conservatives or people standing in the way of happiness.

America’s Most Infamous Serial Baby Killer Kermit Gosnell Dead At 85

Monster

One of the most prolific serial killers and abortionists in American history is dead after spending the last 12 years in a Pennsylvania prison for brutally murdering babies born-alive.

Kermit Gosnell’s passing at 85 years old was first reported by Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney on Monday, March 23. A spokeswoman with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections later confirmed to The Federalist that Gosnell was transferred from the State Correctional Institution Smithfield to an “outside hospital” where he eventually died on March 1 at 11:45 p.m.

Will the Conservative Party ever protect the unborn? Canada’s top pro-life activist weighs in

LifeSiteNews recently sat down for an interview with Jack Fonseca, director of political operations for Campaign Life Coalition, the largest and most significant pro-life group in all of Canada. The group facilitates major pro-life events including Life Chain, 40 Days For Life, and the March For Life. In his position, Jack oversees the responsibility of electing pro-life, pro-family, and pro-Christian candidates across Canada. Jack is a devoted Catholic, father, and quietly one of Canada’s most important figures in the pro-life movement. In this discussion, Jack holds nothing back in discussing the evils of the left-wing abortion movement, the failure of the Conservative opposition, and the strategy behind turning Canada into a pro-life country once again.

What March for Life? Big Four News Apps Ignore Peaceful Pro-life Protest

The Big Four News Apps just completely ignored the March for Life in a blackout so intense that even the pro-life marchers couldn’t find significant related coverage.

MRC researchers found that Apple News, Google News, MSN and Yahoo News all ignored reporting on the 53rd annual March for Life on the morning of Jan. 23. Instead, these digital gatekeepers reported on anti-ICE protests and an incoming winter storm stories from featuring leftist and elitist media like Buzzfeed, HuffPost, Salon, The Daily Beast and The New York Times.

What progressives won’t say about abortion

The sanitised narrative ignores ethical truths

This may seem a strange question, but what exactly is wrong with terminating the lives of female foetuses, simply because they are female? The official progressive line is that where an abortion is wanted, it should be facilitated wherever possible; that personal reasons for doing it should not be challenged by the state. Yet when a Scottish Government-commissioned report was released last week, arguing that a blind eye should be turned to sex-selective terminations, there was general consternation.

Or here is another puzzle. Why does the British Pregnancy Advisory Service — the UK’s main abortion provider, and uncompromising in its mission to facilitate women’s reproductive choices, whatever they are — explain on its website that their clients may take “pregnancy remains” away afterwards for a “private service, burial or cremation”? Why might anyone want to do such a thing?

Late-term abortions are being performed in Canada without a serious medical reason

In 2013, former longtime Liberal MP Dr. Carolyn Bennett, in a terse letter to the National Post, said no doctor in Canada can terminate a pregnancy after 24 weeks unless the mother’s life is at risk or the fetus has serious complications.

“The assertion that late-term abortions can be performed ‘for any reason, or no reason at all’ is just not true,” wrote Bennett, who challenged a columnist to find a single late-term abortion performed in Canada “to a healthy mother with a healthy fetus.”

Twenty Million Dead: The Generation Abortion Stole from America

Progress with a body count.

Imagine an entire generation, then erase nearly a third of it. That’s not a half-hearted thought experiment. It’s a national crime scene, neatly packaged as progress.

Recent demographic reports reveal a devastating reality. Nearly 28 percent of Gen Z in America were denied the simple mercy of daylight. Between 1997 and 2011, 19.5 million lives were ended before they began. For every classroom, every cradle, every dinner table, an empty space mourns what never was.

White House applauds clearing of ‘silent protest’ anti-abortion campaigner

The Trump administration has applauded Scottish prosecutors’ “sensible decision” to clear an anti-abortion campaigner over her silent protest.

Rose Docherty, 75, was arrested in February after police were called to reports of an anti-abortion protest near the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH), in Glasgow. She had been holding a sign that read: “Coercion is a crime, here to talk, only if you want.”

Poll shows Poilievre’s abortion stance at odds with Battle River–Crowfoot voters

A new poll suggests Pierre Poilievre’s abortion stance is wildly out of step with voters in the upcoming Battle River–Crowfoot by-election.

The survey, conducted July 23 by National Public Research Canada for Campaign Life Coalition, found nearly 80% of constituents hold views sharply different from Poilievre’s position of unrestricted abortion access through all nine months of pregnancy.

Report on “religious extremism” focuses on Catholicism, ignores Islam

Mass Murderers Publish “Catholic Extremism” Report

A recent document by a European think tank decries the “accelerating financial expansion of movements working to dismantle decades of hard-won sexual and reproductive rights across Europe.” The report, published by the Brussels-based European Parliamentary Forum for Sexual & Reproductive Rights (EPF), highlights the “anti-rights and religious extremist actors in Europe,” but focuses mostly on just one religion: Christianity. Through this inherent bias, the organization admits the one institution that its members and their allies fear—the Catholic Church—as the organizing force behind the “religious ideologues [who] are executing meticulous, long-term strategies for power.”

EPF’s executive committee consists of one member of the European Parliament, along with members of parliament from several constituent states of the EU, with two additional politicians from outside the Union. All of the committee members come from socially left-wing political parties—from a party of the French “center,” Renaissance (founded by French President Emmanuel Macron) to the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party.

SCOTUS Allows States to Remove Medicaid Funding to Planned Parenthood

In a 6-3 ruling on Thursday, the Supreme Court ruled that states can remove Planned Parenthood funding from their Medicaid programs. The split went exactly as we’ve come to expect, with six conservative justices ruling in favor and three liberal justices dissenting. (Oddly, the Associated Press refers to it as a “divided” ruling, as if we haven’t come to expect the conservative-liberal divide that we see in most cases.)

SLOBODIAN: Finally, a win for veteran pro-life campaigner Linda Gibbons

After sitting in jail since February 13, pro-life grandmother Linda Gibbons, 76, was freed last Monday when found not guilty of breaking the law by protesting outside Toronto’s Morgentaler Clinic abortion mill.

Did she stop traffic? Burn the Canadian flag? Shoot up or smash windows? Throw Molotov cocktails? Set vehicles ablaze? Get in cops’ faces to defiantly taunt them? Perhaps chant vicious death threats?
