The microchip implants that let you pay with your hand

Patrick Paumen causes a stir whenever he pays for something in a shop or restaurant.

This is because the 37-year-old doesn’t need to use a bank card or his mobile phone to pay. Instead, he simply places his left hand near the contactless card reader, and the payment goes through.

“The reactions I get from cashiers are priceless!” says Mr Paumen, a security guard from the Netherlands.

John Ivison: Ottawa is buying armoured vehicles for Ukraine, but they won’t be enough

Roshel – Oligarch 500

The Trudeau government’s announcement of $500 million in military aid for Ukraine in the budget may finally unblock a bureaucratic logjam that has seen Canada’s words of support far outpace its actions.

Ottawa is understood to be in the final stages of naming a supplier of armoured personnel carriers to send to Ukraine, with Mississauga, Ont.-based Roshel expected to win the initial contract with its Senator APC armoured vehicle. Roshel was founded by Roman Shimonov, a board member of the Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce, a decade ago.

Call Groomers ‘Groomers’ Because of Their Grooming and Because It Annoys David French

See, it’s important that you not use undeniably accurate terms to describe our enemies because by doing so you may convey truthful information that hurts liberals and, according to our conservative cruise ship betters, that’s not who we are. Well, that’s certainly not who they are, because if there’s one thing they simply cannot accept it is victory. And that includes victory over perverts who what to chat up your young ‘uns in kindergarten.

The push for childhood gender transitions takes root in ideology, not science

White House press secretary Jen Psaki has offered support for childhood gender transitions, stating last Thursday that “every major medical association agrees that gender-affirming healthcare … is a best practice and potentially lifesaving.” She suggested that implementing bills preventing access to care may violate federal law.

The narrative that affirmation is the best approach for young people questioning their gender is echoed in two recent documents from the Department of Health and Human Services. Support for gender-affirming treatments, including hormonal therapy and “top” and “bottom” surgery, are presented as ways to reduce suicidal ideation and mental health problems associated with gender distress.

Several states are in the process of considering or implementing laws that criminalize transitioning procedures on minors. Alabama approved legislation last week outlawing hormonal and surgical interventions for gender dysphoric youth, and Texas will investigate cases of children transitioning as “abuse.”

Having told them about his previous experience with the British army in Afghanistan and Iraq, he was soon on his way to Poland before crossing into Ukraine.

China continues to deepen its engagement in Africa on all levels. Recently it engaged in a flurry of diplomatic activity with African countries. In March alone, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held bilateral talks with his African counterparts in Algeria, Egypt, The Gambia, Niger, Somalia, Tanzania and Zambia. The talks came only two months after Wang Yi visited Eritrea, Kenya and Comoros. Also in March, Chinese President Xi Jinping had a phone conversation with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, during which the two spoke about deepening cooperation between the two countries. Ramaphosa affirmed that he supports China’s policies on Taiwan, Tibet, and other “major issues”.

The Biden family scheme unravels

If the grand jury in Delaware investigating Hunter Biden’s business ventures does its job properly, it will be pulling on the threads that lead to the president, and already there are signs that is happening.

Regardless of the extraordinary statement last week by White House chief of staff Ron Klain, that the president is confident his son has done nothing wrong, and that the inquiry has nothing to do with Joe Biden or anyone else in the White House, publicly available evidence says otherwise.

A University of Buffalo student said she was ‘hunted down’ by a woke mob screaming ‘no justice, no peace,’ after she invited prominent black Republican Lt. Col. Allen West to speak on how he overcame racism.

Therese Purcell, president of the Young Americans for Freedom, a campus club that organized the event, said she and her fellow members only wanted to bring these open dialogues of racism to campus.

But protests erupted at the event, leading to an angry mob that chased Purcell, leaving her afraid of what would have happened if she wasn’t able to hide from them.

Biden announces measures to crack down on ‘ghost guns’

Joe Biden has announced an attempt to crack down on “ghost guns”, kits which can be bought without a background check, from which a working gun can quickly be made, and which have been used in an escalating number of shootings.

In a release, the White House said 20,000 “unserialized, privately made firearms” were reported to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in 2021, a tenfold increase on 2016.

Biden and Lisa Monaco, the deputy attorney general, were also due on Monday to announce the nomination of Steve Dettelbach, US attorney in Ohio from 2009 to 2016, to lead the ATF.
