The unicorns of crime-wave California – As violence surges and police dwindle, the woke take shelter in magical thinking

London Breed – Democrat city destroyer

A crime wave haunts blue-state America, and nowhere more so than in super-blue California. Los Angeles police chief Michel Moore is trying to assure residents and tourists that violent crime is not out of control, which is not at all reassuring. Police departments statewide are stressed, and finding able recruits is a struggle. Faced with surging gun violence and a dwindling number of police officers, Oakland has proposed $50,000 signing bonuses to veteran cops.

Tuskegee Tony – Why the “real Anthony Fauci” must be held accountable.

On Christmas Eve Dr. Anthony Fauci turns 81, and as he marks the milestone, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma and the Global War on Democracy and Public Healthis topping the Amazon and USA Today bestseller lists.  The real Fauci, Kennedy contends, is the J. Edgar Hoover of public health, but there’s more going on than longevity and corruption.

To expose Fauci’s drug experiments with children, Kennedy cites the BBC’s 2004 “Guinea Pig Kids.” This documentary is again under attack, and that invites a review.

Was the FBI’s Whitmer Chicanery a Warm-up for January 6?

By removing three dirty cops from the witness list, the Justice Department hopes to prevent any cross-examination during the trial and, one supposes, any link to January 6.

As questions mount about the government’s animating role in the Capitol protest on January 6, the criminal case against the men charged with conspiring to “kidnap” Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer in 2020 continues to collapse.

Defense attorneys in the Whitmer case are carefully compiling evidence that depicts an elaborate tale of FBI entrapment; at least a dozen FBI informants were involved in the failed plot—equaling one FBI asset per defendant. FBI agents handling the informants directed every move. They funded training and reconnaissance trips, and even organized a “national militia” conference in Ohio in June 2020 to lure potential accomplices.

BLM Bites The Hands That Feed It This Christmas!

When Martin Luther King Jr., envisioned an America of equality in human dignity, he certainly didn’t anticipate racial lines being drawn around one of our country’s most sacred holidays. Sadly, that’s where we find ourselves today.

Corporate America is largely showing up in support for the Black Lives Matter organization, which is once again promoting its annual “#BlackXmas” campaign calling on shoppers to boycott “white capitalist” companies. That’s more than just bad business. At this moment, it’s actively underwriting the “War on Christmas.”

Satanic Temple installs holiday display featuring baby Baphomet at Illinois Capitol – state suffers 8th consecutive year of population decline

Illinois made sure that, during the Christmas season, Satan gets equal time.

At a ceremony Monday at the Illinois Capitol in Springfield, members of the Satanic Temple of Illinois installed a display of the deity Baphomet as a baby.

Surprise surprise! More than 120,000 residents left Illinois over the past year

This marks the eighth consecutive year of population decline for Illinois, according to Census Bureau estimates. The only state that’s population has been in decline longer, West Virginia, currently is suffering its ninth consecutive year of population decline…

Hmm … Is Durham Planning to Charge Team Hillary?

Democrats’ and Republicans’ prosecutorial styles are as different as night and day.

Democrats announce their (plainly political) intentions ahead of time — “We will impeach Donald Trump” or “We will disqualify Brett Kavanaugh” or “I will indict Donald Trump” — then convene massive investigative bodies (on the taxpayers’ dime) of partisan lawyers and politicians to search for a prosecutable crime. The investigation is milked for everything it’s worth, featuring weaponized DOJ no-knock midnight raids, leaks a-plenty, and media accomplices to publicize every insinuation, humiliation, and accusation. Even if no real crime is ever found in the end (and it seldom is), Democrats will nonetheless continue with their announced plans, such as twice impeaching the most-investigated president in history. And in the process, they will have made life hell for their political enemies as well as anyone who ever gave them the time of day — which was probably the point all along.

The Men Behind the Wire: Voices From the DC Jail When will Attorney General Merrick Garland act on Judge Lamberth’s referral for a civil rights investigation?

In March 2021, Christopher Worrell was arrested and incarcerated in the D.C. Jail on felony charges arising out of his alleged participation in the January 6, 2021, Capitol Hill protest.

Worrell suffers from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and, in May 2021, he broke his hand while in custody. After he was examined by an orthopedic specialist, it was determined that he should have corrective surgery.

In August 2021, his lawyers advised U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth — a Reagan nominee on the D.C. District Court — that, instead of surgery, D.C. Jail officials had limited Worrell’s treatment to Tylenol and similar anti-inflammatory drugs.

Pundits, Diaspora Groups Criticize Tories for Not Reviving Canada–China Committee

Just wants to be loved. Is that so wrong?

From pundits to groups representing the Chinese and Hong Kong diaspora in Canada, many have expressed disappointment over the Conservative Party’s decision not to bring back the committee that probed Canada-China relations in the new Parliament.

The Conservatives say they will not be launching a bid to revive the House of Commons Special Committee on Canada–China Relations (CACN) formed in the last Parliament, according to The Globe and Mail. The committee examined a range of topics and issues related to China, including the Beijing-linked Huawei, Beijing’s influence operations in Canada, and China’s human rights record, among other topics.

Biden’s Legacy: A Nuclear Iran

The Biden administration seems to have no clear agenda on how to stop the Iranian regime from going nuclear. It has been almost a year and seven rounds of negotiations, but nothing has come out of these talks except that the ruling mullahs of Iran keep advancing their nuclear program, with Russia backing them.

The Iranian regime is playing with the Biden administration, most likely dragging out the negotiations — and accelerating its enrichment of uranium to weapons-grade — to buy time to become a nuclear state.

The jury deliberated for about two hours and 45 minutes before announcing the verdict after five days of testimony in Boston federal court.

Secret Service: Nearly $100B stolen in pandemic relief funds

Nearly $100 billion at minimum has been stolen from COVID-19 relief programs set up to help businesses and people who lost their jobs due to the pandemic, the U.S. Secret Service said Tuesday.

The estimate is based on Secret Service cases and data from the Labor Department and the Small Business Administration, said Roy Dotson, the agency’s national pandemic fraud recovery coordinator, in an interview. The Secret Service didn’t include COVID-19 fraud cases prosecuted by the Justice Department.

While roughly 3% of the $3.4 trillion dispersed, the amount stolen from pandemic benefits programs shows “the sheer size of the pot is enticing to the criminals,” Dotson said.
