‘In that moment, I knew he wanted me to lie.’ Jody Wilson-Raybould recalls a tension-filled meeting with Justin Trudeau

The sun was flooding through the third-floor windows of the Signature private plane terminal at Vancouver International Airport as I sat waiting for the Prime Minister to arrive. The terminal is distant and isolated, far from the bustling main terminal and the eyes of the public and the media. My husband, Tim, had dropped me off and then parked to wait for me among the cars of the Prime Minister’s motorcade. The PM was late. Building in me was a creeping realization that this was the beginning of the end. It was here. The time had come.

BULLSHIT – ‘I did not want her to lie’: Trudeau rejects Wilson-Raybould’s claims about SNC-Lavalin talk

The Forgotten Lesson of September 11 – What Osama bin Laden couldn’t do, the Biden administration hopes to accomplish.

It was an eerie scene.

But for the activity of the rescue and recovery personnel and the rumbling machinery they used, it was a still, quiet night. Too still and quiet for Manhattan at any hour. This part of the city was closed for blocks around to all but those with passes indicating they should be here.

I was one of them, and at this moment I stood atop FDNY Engine 10 Ladder 10 looking out on what had once been the World Trade Center as one of the firefighters explained the operations taking place before us under something like stadium lights.

Vancouver’s Communist China allies align with Trudeau’s Liberals

Vancouver residents supportive of the Chinese Communist Party are promoting the Liberals in Canada’s general election for the 44th Parliament on September 20.

Furthermore, Richmond Conservative MP Kenny Chiu — who was sanctioned by China in March — says there is a concerted effort to spread misinformation about him.

This came as a virtual throw-away item in a NatPo collection of odds and ends election news. Why it hasn’t received wider coverage is beyond my pay level.

9/11 anniversary: From United to Disunited States

It’s almost a cliche, hackneyed even. A big event happens, and people say they will never forget where they were when they heard about this or that.

But I suspect nearly everyone around the world above the age of 30 really does remember where they were when they heard about, then watched in real time, the most audacious, most dreadful terrorist attack on the United States unfold.

Over the past few days, I have been talking to people not only who remember where they were, but how it upended their lives

Cyberwar, Part Two: “Flipping Switches”

Discussing Russian hacking capabilities in a video discussion for the Heritage Foundation recently, Prof. Scott Jasper of the Naval Postgraduate School recalled a hack in 2018 in which the attackers succeeded in penetrating electrical power companies in the U.S., as they did in Ukraine

“We had evidence from CISA (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency) that Russian actors had penetrated up to 20 to 24 utilities by compromising vendors that had trusted relationships,” Jasper said. “They had taken control to the point where they could have thrown switches. They did this in Ukraine and flipped the switches of substations. So, this is a real threat.”

SNOBELEN: The ideal of freedom in Canada has taken a near fatal blow

SNOBELEN: The ideal of freedom in Canada has taken a near fatal blow

“… But the ideal of individual responsibility and freedom has taken a near fatal blow. Those who follow the theology of climate change have cast greedy eyes on the public health response to COVID.

If people can be stripped of their rights, locked in their homes and banned from travel to combat a virus why can’t similar tactics be brought to the battle over planet killing carbon? We may soon look back on the glory days of freedom when government merely taxed home heating fuel to save the planet.”

Joe Biden Marks 20th Anniversary of 9/11 Criticizing ‘Dark Forces’ in America Against ‘Peaceful Religion’ of Islam

President Joe Biden marked the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks by criticizing Americans for the anti-Muslim anger that occurred in the United States after the attacks took place.

“We also witnessed the dark forces of human nature. Fear and anger. Resentment and violence against Muslim-Americans — true and faithful followers of a peaceful religion,” Biden said in a prerecorded video published for the occasion.

Biden is a seriously fecked-up imbecile.

‘Hate Crime’ Charges Filed After Racist Attack Against Larry Elder

On Friday, two California councilwomen filed a complaint with the LAPD over alleged “hate crimes” committed by protestors. On Wednesday, the women, Latina Soledad Ursua and Chie Lunn, were walking with California gubernatorial recall candidate Larry Elder as he toured a Venice Beach homeless encampment when a white woman wearing a pink-haired gorilla mask hurled both eggs and racial slurs at the group.

Liberals see a jump in support after back-to-back debates: Nanos

TORONTO — After back-to-back debates this past week, new polling shows the Liberals have seen a jump in support.

The Saturday polling numbers from Nanos Research, commissioned by CTV News and The Globe and Mail, show that Justin Trudeau’s Liberals have moved from 31.3 per cent to 34.4 per cent from Thursday.

The jump of 3.1 percentage points marks the biggest single-day jump for the Liberals since the beginning of the campaign and brings the party 0.2 percentage points ahead of where the party started the campaign.

I am not believing this.

What Made Them Do Their Duty?

At the Twin Towers, cops and firemen showed they really were New York’s Finest, New York’s Bravest.

From the very first moments of the World Trade Center horror, the valor and élan of New York’s firemen, together with that of the city’s police and emergency forces, have transfixed the whole nation—especially us in rural America who rarely see the real Gotham. Danger was nothing to them, courage and honor everything. They responded instantly to the explosion and fire, all drawn to, rather than repelled by, the inferno—and without regard to their own safety or the consequences of their possible incineration upon their loved ones at home. We now know their last radio cries: “Move away from the towers! Everyone move away from the towers!” Silence. . . .

Is It Puppeteers or Puppets in Control in Washington?

It must be the best of times and the worst of times for our nation’s enemies.

On one hand they have a President in the White House whose actions are reducing America into some befuddled and diminished world power. On the other hand our foes are trying to figure out, as are all Americans, who is actually in charge in Washington?

Is it a shadow government of consultants, lobbyists, and Obama retreads? Or is it really a president who counts success as getting to the presidential helicopter unassisted? One can envision the intelligence chiefs of our sworn enemies being sternly lectured by their supreme leaders to get to the bottom of it because they can’t believe their good fortune that American leadership has fallen so far so fast. It must be a devious trap.

If only that were true.

Cronyism, corruption and indifference: Insiders describe Afghanistan’s fall

Gul Ahmad Rasooli’s phone rang the day the Afghan government collapsed.

The now-former governor of the province of Zabul — a remote, mountainous southern Afghan province bordering Kandahar — had taken refuge in the capital, Kabul, as the security climate in Afghanistan unravelled over the summer.

The Taliban had overrun Qalat, the provincial capital, and Rasooli had escaped with his life.

The call was from his son, an Afghan special forces soldier assigned to the elite protection detail around Ashraf Ghani, the president of the western-backed regime.

It was not a nation, it can never be saved. Islam and tribalism are a toxic mix and we were fed a 20 year lie.
