Group with Marxist ties behind critical race theory push in schools

As the controversy over critical race theory in public schools heats up, activists on both sides of the debate have spent massive amounts of time and money on a topic that takes aim at white privilege in America.

It’s the latest front in the culture war over how students should be taught U.S. history. Its roots date back to the early 1970s, but it has become a modern-day flashpoint that has moved from the classrooms into politics. Now, some are wondering who is funding the movement and why.

Diane Francis: What Trudeau’s spin doctors won’t tell you about vaccine dose delays

Diane Francis: What Trudeau’s spin doctors won’t tell you about vaccine dose delays

It is premature for the Trudeau propaganda machine to crow about its huge vaccination achievement, given that the country still lags developed nations in fully vaccinating its populace.

This week, the figures show that 66 per cent of Canadians have received one dose but still only 14 per cent have been fully vaccinated. This spread is unique among our peers and has been due to Public Health Canada’s unsupportable dose-delay gambit designed to ration vaccines to camouflage the fact that the Trudeau government has fumbled vaccine procurement for nearly one year.

Critical Race Theory and Academic Freedom

State-based legislation banning the teaching of the toxic ideology is philosophically and legally justifiable.

Recent red-state bans or restrictions on the use of critical race theory (CRT) in public schools and universities have been denounced by mainstream media. While most of the bans primarily target CRT’s racial essentialism—prohibitions on “assigning fault, blame, or bias to a race or sex, or to members of a race or sex because of their race or sex,” according to a bill signed into law in Iowa last week—the new legislation is regularly described as an attack on “diversity” or “racial sensitivity” training…

Welcome to Wokespeak: Its Logic-Defying Rhetoric Is Making Heads Spin

In the midst of the nation’s racial upheaval last year, media outlets including the Associated Press, the New York Times and the Washington Post rushed to start capitalizing the word “Black” in reference to African Americans, some announcing the move as a long-overdue gesture of respect. While RealClear has not changed its style, the change elsewhere prompted newsroom soul-searching on whether to write “white” or “White” in reference to people of European descent.

Iran’s Fake Presidential Election

Iran’s so-called presidential election today, June 18, is a fraud, a ruse for the world to observe and seemingly domestically designed to release some pent-up popular pressure.

Iran’s presidency itself is a weak institution of weak political superstructure which also includes the legislative branch (the majles, the sort-of equivalent of a parliament). This highly visible but insubstantial governmental apparatus masks the real power in Iran: the “deep state” of the Islamic Republic.

Feminist artist is cancelled by the Royal Academy after trans activists complained about her blog calling a woman ‘an adult human female’

A feminist artist has been cancelled by the Royal Academy after trans activists complained about her 2019 blog in which she called a woman ‘an adult human female’ and criticised LGBT charity Stonewall.

The institution pulled the work of Jess de Wahls, a textile artist born in East Berlin, from its gift shop after activists accused her of expressing ‘transphobic views’ in a blog posted to her website two years ago.

Miss de Wahls had criticised ‘gender identity ideology’ and Stonewall, the controversial LGBT organisation which has been accused of fostering a climate of intolerance in workplaces across the UK.

MP Slams Child Marriage, Admits It’s ’Prevalent in Certain Communities‘

Conservative MP Sajid Javid has said allowing children under 18 to marry is “child abuse”, admitting it was a cultural practice “prevalent in certain communities”.

Mr Javid, who had served as home secretary and chancellor of the exchequer, made the remarks after drafting a Bill to scrap the legal loophole which allows underaged people to be coerced into marriages. Under current law, 16- and 17-year-olds can marry with their parents’ consent in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. In Scotland, the legal age to marry without parental support is 16.
