Britain’s patriotic vibe shift Flag-raising

Brits are demanding liberation from our post-borders elites.

Imagine going back in time and trying to explain to an everyday Brit that it will one day be a risky business to fly the flag of Britain in Britain. Imagine telling the joyous crowds who waved mini Union flags for the Queen’s Silver Jubilee in 1977 that their grandchildren would be branded ‘fascists’ for waving that very flag in 2025. Imagine telling those swooning gatherings at Portsmouth and Southampton in 1982 – who gleefully displayed the flag to welcome home British troops from the Falklands – that Brits in the 2020s would be damned as ‘far right’ for doing likewise.

Bari Weiss doubles down on pulling 60 Minutes deportation story

CBS News Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss has offered more insight about her last-minute decision to shelve a segment on the ‘brutal and tortuous conditions’ at a prison in El Salvador where the Trump administration has deported illegal immigrants.

Weiss, 41, told colleagues that she spiked the segment simply because it ‘did not advance the ball’ during the network’s typical 9am editorial call on Monday, The New York Times reported.

She pointed out how the the Times and other publications have ‘previously done similar work’ while maintaining that fresh, through-provoking content was her ‘north star.’

Merz Told To “Get Lost” at Magdeburg Christmas Market Commemoration

Mourners turned on the chancellor, blaming his continued support for mass migration for the security failures that led to the deadly attack.

Friedrich Merz’s attendance over the weekend at a memorial service commemorating last year’s attack on the Magdeburg Christmas market was not greatly welcomed by attendees. Instead, the chancellor was met with loud protests—some telling him “we don’t want you here,” crying “shame on you,” and urging him to “get lost.”

Six people were killed and hundreds of others injured—some critically—when a Saudi psychiatrist and refugee named Taleb al-Abdulmohsen, who was known to German police, drove a car into a crowded Magdeburg Christmas market during the city’s 2024 festivities.

How can food banks be sure their resources are going to those in need?

In just one month, Food Banks Canada reported nearly 2.2 million visits across the country, which they say is the highest number recorded in history.

This data was recorded from March this year, doubling the monthly usage of food banks in Canada six years earlier.

This troubling number makes you wonder — why the huge spike?

Carney names globalist pig Mark Wiseman who sought to swamp Canada with cheap 3rd world labour as next U.S. ambassador

OTTAWA – Prime Minister Mark Carney is appointing a global investment banker and pension fund manager to be Canada’s next ambassador in Washington.

Carney’s office says Mark Wiseman will take the role on Feb. 15, and he will be tasked with leading negotiations with the United States on the review of the continental free trade deal.

Wiseman is a longtime friend of Carney who was among the first to contribute to Carney’s leadership bid, donating the maximum $1,750 to that as well as an additional $1,750 to the Liberal party during last April’s election campaign.

I hope Trump’s team kicks his ass.

The economic purge of the young white male

How the Boomers sacrificed their sons to save themselves

I can remember when I first realised that something strange was happening to white men in Hollywood. It was around 2014, and my younger colleagues in LA – often British writers, directors and actors who had moved to California to ‘make it’ – began reporting, anecdotally, that their work was disappearing.

By that I don’t mean the normal vicissitudes of a volatile creative industry. I don’t mean actors ‘resting’ or scripts getting stuck in ‘development hell’. I mean that all jobs, and job opportunities, were abruptly vanishing. Applications went nowhere, CVs were binned, hopeful meetings were suddenly cancelled. And white men in Hollywood in their twenties or thirties, who had assumed they were on the upwards curve of a career, discovered that the optimistic curve had ended. It was more like a ski jump. They were plunging into the drifts of debt, failure and bankruptcy.

As U.S. Guns Pour Into Canada, the Bodies Pile Up

Guns waving in the air, the partygoers danced inside a recording studio on a fashionable city block, near a bar with craft cocktails like “Espresso Yourself” and a boutique hotel with what a Michelin Guide called a “bohemian-baroque aesthetic.”

Then, just after midnight, three rival gang members descended on the alley behind the studio and began firing. The partygoers cracked a door and shot back wildly. Nearly 100 bullets tore into the night, many striking a nearby supermarket and homes.

It was a miracle no one was killed or injured, the police said. When the dust settled, officers recovered 16 guns tossed into trash bins, dumped in the alleyway and shoved under a couch — each one smuggled across the southern border, the police said.

Canada’s border with the United States, that is.

Canada spent $78 million deporting 18,000 people in 2024 — the most since Stephen Harper … in a very loose sense

Canada has spent more than $78 million deporting over 18,000 people in the 2024-25 fiscal year, the most since the government of Stephen Harper, according to data obtained by the Star from the Canada Border Services Agency.

The vast majority of those deported have been asylum seekers whose refugee claims have been rejected, the data says.

The surge comes as the federal government tightens immigration targets and limits new international student permits, a shift that experts say is likely to fuel a rise in deportations as hundreds of thousands of temporary residents face shrinking pathways to permanent status and as a “regularization program” for undocumented migrants, initially promised by the Trudeau government, remains stalled.

… The deportation level in 2024 was the highest since 2012, when more than 19,000 people were removed under Harper’s Conservative government. Deportations include all removals enforced in a given fiscal year, including refugee claimants as well as those living, working or studying in Canada who have overstayed their legal status.

The Star wants you to believe Carney is deporting failed asylum seekers at the same rate as Harper!

But the Star commits a sin of omission failing to point out Harper outperformed Carney by a huge margin based on the total number of asylum seekers each administration has faced.

Google AI – How many asylum seekers did Canada receive in the year 2024 vs. 2012?

In 2024, Canada received approximately 190,000 new asylum claims, a significant increase compared to the 20,500 applications received in 2012.

The Overton Window Reframed

In the days following the Bondi attack, a noticeable shift occurred in Australian public conversation. People began saying out loud what they had previously learned to say only in private: blunt questions about immigration, social cohesion, public safety, and cultural limits. The striking feature was not that these views were new, but that they were suddenly being expressed without apology. Journalists and politicians appeared unsettled, not by the substance of the questions, but by the fact that they were now being asked openly.

What changed was not belief, but permission.

No Tears for the End of the American Empire

Trump’s NSS ends endless American interventions — and the pundits are furious.

When I clicked on the website of The American Spectator Saturday morning and began to read Matthew Omolesky’s lament for the end of the American empire, I thought for a moment that I mistakenly accessed the Council on Foreign Relations’ journal Foreign Affairs or The Economist, which specialize in Trump-bashing and genuflecting at the so-called “rules-based international order.” Then, a friend sent me Fareed Zakaria’s latest column in the Washington Post about Trump making America “small” again. President Trump’s 2025 National Security Strategy, which prioritizes U.S. national security interests and seeks to get America out of the protectorate business, has upset the Wilsonians and neoconservatives among us who weep for the end of U.S. global hegemony.
