Sometimes data or information that seems completely disconnected can tell a story when taken together. I experienced that recently. Over the course of a few days I saw a number of posts on X that caught my attention. First was a post stating that “Whites make up only 8% of the world’s population… so in fact, we are the minority.” That 8% is down from a peak of approximately 25% in the 19th century.

HALIFAX — The head of Canadian Armed Forces says a policy aimed at attracting highly skilled foreign military members is getting a boost from the federal Immigration Department as the military scrambles to fill jobs amid a protracted personnel shortage.
Gen. Jenni Carignan, chief of defence staff, said Monday the military already has a program in place to attract military members with specialized skills, including pilots who already know how to fly F-35 fighter jets, which Canada is in the process of buying from the United States.
Carignan gave the example of a fighter pilot from the Netherlands who wants to move to Canada, saying the federal Immigration Department would now offer some help
Nike is being investigated by the US government over allegations it discriminated against white employees and job applicants.
The company failed to respond properly to a subpoena seeking documents about its diversity programmes, including “race-restricted mentoring, leadership, or career development opportunities,” according to the US equal employment opportunity commission (EEOC).

The fur is flying after the publication of Jacob Savage’s “The Lost Generation,” which Matt Walsh called a permission piece, a signal that cultural leaders can or must now admit, within carefully circumscribed limits and without accountability, of course, what the rest of us have known most of our lives: that discrimination against white men has been rampant in North America, with the result that at least one generation of such men were prevented from contributing their talents to key fields such as law, medicine, science, policing, popular culture, media, academia, reporting, Big Tech, business, and many more.
Yes, so-called diversity, equity, and inclusion is on life support. President Trump’s executive orders have driven a stake through the heart of DEI programs in the federal government, and his agencies are steadily bringing universities, states, and cities to heel.
But woke policymakers are not giving up. A new tool is emerging to steer benefits and spending toward favored racial groups in the name of “equity.” The new tool is geography.
How the Boomers sacrificed their sons to save themselves
I can remember when I first realised that something strange was happening to white men in Hollywood. It was around 2014, and my younger colleagues in LA – often British writers, directors and actors who had moved to California to ‘make it’ – began reporting, anecdotally, that their work was disappearing.
By that I don’t mean the normal vicissitudes of a volatile creative industry. I don’t mean actors ‘resting’ or scripts getting stuck in ‘development hell’. I mean that all jobs, and job opportunities, were abruptly vanishing. Applications went nowhere, CVs were binned, hopeful meetings were suddenly cancelled. And white men in Hollywood in their twenties or thirties, who had assumed they were on the upwards curve of a career, discovered that the optimistic curve had ended. It was more like a ski jump. They were plunging into the drifts of debt, failure and bankruptcy.
The U.S. Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) over a collective bargaining agreement giving preferential treatment to non-white teachers and shelling out other benefits based on race.
After settling a three-week strike of the Minnesota Federation of Teachers in 2022, MPS included a provision in new teacher contracts that let teachers who were not white bypass the normal system of layoffs and involuntary assignments (which are typically based on seniority), indicating the school system now has a policy of retaining racially “underrepresented” teachers over white teachers who have been there longer.
An Ontario police watchdog has dismissed an appeal by senior Toronto police officer Stacy Clarke to overturn her two-year demotion for helping several junior officers cheat to get promoted.
Clarke, the first Black female superintendent in Toronto police history, pleaded guilty to seven counts of professional misconduct after admitting she shared confidential interview information with six Black junior officers in 2021 to give them an edge in the highly competitive process to become sergeants.
A civil rights complaint recently filed against the University of Central Arkansas alleges that 10 scholarships run by the public university illegally discriminate based on race or sex, appearing to favor female students or students of color.
The complaint uses screenshots taken from the school’s website to back up its claims, flagging scholarships that accept applicants who are specifically “African-American students,” “underserved minority students,” and “Hispanic minority students.”

A lawsuit recently filed by the U.S. Department of Justice alleges that the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) and Providence Public School District (PPSD) violated federal law by establishing a loan forgiveness program that is open to every ethnicity—except whites.
Perhaps the name of the program—“Educators of Color Loan Forgiveness Program”— ought to have been a clue that it was incentivizing illegal discrimination.
Last week, failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton joined MSNBC to opine that White, Christian men are the problem in America. “The idea that you could turn the clock back and try to recreate a world that never was…Dominated by, you know, let’s say it, white men of a certain persuasion, a certain religion, a certain point of view, a certain ideology,” Clinton said. She added, “It’s just doing such damage to what we should be aiming for.”

In a striking irony, George Abaraonye, the president-elect of the Oxford Union — the prestigious student debating society known for championing integrity, respect, and civil debate — has faced intense backlash and was reportedly asked to resign from his leadership position following the hateful comments he made about the fatal shooting of the prominent political influencer Charlie Kirk. Shortly after Kirk was murdered by a sniper on a Utah college campus, Abaraonye posted celebratory messages on social media, including “Charlie Kirk got shot, let’s f****** go” and “Charlie Kirk got shot loool”
Nobody panic – but men are less likely to attend university than their female counterparts. This is borne out by the data, as The Globe and Mail’s Joe Friesen reports – a growing trend that has taken root over generations.
Why? One factor may be a public school system that may be better suited to female students, something referred to by some as the “girlification” of education, a term I came across in my colleague Rachel Giese’s 2018 book Boys: What it Means to Become a Man. Are males as alienated – in the education system, but also in society at large – as the manosphere would have us believe? And is this contributing to the growing number of men skipping university?
Trump is bad, men should be emasculated, traditional male roles are evil, university is wonderful, Trump voters are awful and Trump is bad.
