The American Left Has Now Fully Embraced Racism

A Rubicon has been crossed in American political discourse. Long purveyors of Marxism, the nation’s leftists have now come to fully embrace something else; racism. Just in the last week in the areas of medicine, education, and journalism, well-intentioned institutional racists have insisted — as is increasingly their habit — that skin color is and must be the defining element of our public policies.

There is no issue more important to the future and soul of our nation right now than the leftist bigotry threatening the very concept of what it means to be an American.

Has California’s day in the sun finished?

Oracle is the world’s second biggest software company. It is also an anchor tenant of Silicon Valley — or rather it was. Last week, the company moved its HQ from California to Texas. Meanwhile, Oracle’s legendary founder, Larry Ellison, will be working from home, which in his case is the Hawaiian island of Lanai (most of which he owns).

Oracle isn’t the first tech giant to walk away. Elon Musk is also moving to Texas and taking Tesla’s company HQ with it. Peter Thiel has already expressed his frustration with Silicon Valley property prices — though has yet to quit California completely.

Manchester police chief resigns as force placed under watchdog monitoring for letting 80,000 crimes go unrecorded

The chief constable of Greater Manchester Police (GMP) has resigned and the force was placed under ‘special measures,’ after a scathing report found it failed to record 80,000 crimes in a year, including domestic abuse cases.

Ian Hopkins, who spent 13 years in the top job, announced his resignation in a statement on Friday, saying the “challenging” issues faced by GMP should be addressed by a new chief constable.

To their credit Manchester Police did harass multiple Twitter users.

A host of progressive foreign policy groups has delivered 100 résumés to the Biden transition team in a move intended to pressure the incoming administration to include voices outside the mainstream of American foreign policy.

The list, obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, includes a dozen scholars from the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, the think tank bankrolled by Charles Koch and George Soros.

Tyrants have always had useful idiots to whitewash their crimes but few have proven as useful and idiotic as those who support China in their oppression of the Uighurs.

The northwestern region of Xinjiang is where China’s Muslim minority is persecuted, and according to Human Rights Watch, this means mass arbitrary detention, torture, forced political indoctrination and surveillance using the collection of biometric data. Religious freedoms are severely curtailed under the guise of counter-terrorism measures, the charity says, with restrictions on facial hair, clothing, religious education and online speech. A bleak investigation this week by the BBC found evidence that China is forcing hundreds of thousands of Uighurs to pick cotton for the fashion industry.

The draconian bracket will see non-essential shops shut, and travel restrictions including a ‘stay at home’ order for Christmas Day itself – even though Mr Johnson insisted just days ago that it would be ‘inhuman’ to axe five-day festive ‘bubbles’.

To the best of my research, Canada is the only country in the world that has had land borders with other countries for over 200 years that has not been invaded in that time (I consider the U.S. Civil War an invasion of the Union). And on the two prior occasions when we were invaded, the Americans were in the first case conducting what is generally reckoned to be a just revolution against oppressive colonization (though it is massively romanticized and George III hideously defamed in American mythology). The second invasion, the War of 1812, was an American response to outrageous provocations by the British. We only survived that brush with pre-national extinction because of the loyalty of the French-Canadians, the generalship of Isaac Brock and the fortuitous incompetence as a war leader of President James Madison, one of history’s great lawgivers, as the chief author of the Constitution of the United States, though he was.

According to a headline in The American Conservative, it was “The Greatest Scandal Of Our Lifetime.”

How could you not want to read on? What could it be, this epic scandal? Russian “collusion”? “Spygate”? The Mueller probe? Hunter Biden’s influence peddling? The stolen election? Chinese spies? Watergate?

Rather disappointingly, it was none of these. R.J. Quinn, the article’s author, had instead picked out as “the greatest scandal of our lifetime” the decision by governments across the world to shut down much of their economies as a prophylactic against the coronavirus. He believes—and I agree with him—that the shutdowns produced catastrophic effects for millions of people that made the cure worse than the disease whose spread it was meant to prevent.

The soon-to-be First Lady going by the moniker “Dr. Jill Biden” catalyzed a gendered controversy over credentials not witnessed since a swarthy gentleman under demon makeup and upon platform boots insisted that women call him Dr. Love.

“Any chance you might drop the ‘Dr.’ before your name?” Joseph Epstein petitioned her in the Wall Street Journal. “ ‘Dr. Jill Biden’ sounds and feels fraudulent, not to say a touch comic. Your degree is, I believe, an Ed.D., a doctor of education, earned at the University of Delaware through a dissertation with the unpromising title ‘Student Retention at the Community College Level: Meeting Students’ Needs.’ ”
