Prince Harry Mocks American Voters, Takes Shots at ‘King‘ Trump on Stephen Colbert

Prince Harry was born into a position of immense inherited privilege but that hasn’t stopped him commenting on the vigorous democracy that defines the U.S. and is now his home.

I see only a rapidly fading sorta celebrity duo in Meghan and Harry with nothing to offer anyone.

Trump Returns to Gasoline as Fuel of Choice for Cars, Gutting Biden’s Scam Climate Policy

The president said he would weaken Biden-era mileage standards, which were designed to increase electric-vehicle sales, calling them a “scam.”

President Trump on Wednesday threw the weight of the federal government behind vehicles that burn gasoline rather than electric cars, gutting one of the country’s most significant efforts to address climate change and thrusting the automobile industry into greater uncertainty.

Flanked by executives from major automakers in the Oval Office, Mr. Trump said the Transportation Department would significantly weaken fuel efficiency requirements for tens of millions of new cars and light trucks. The administration claimed the changes would save Americans $109 billion over five years and shave $1,000 off the average cost of a new car.

Freeland calls Ukraine a ‘fantastic investment’ as Ottawa tosses $235 million more down the black hole of elite theft

Former federal minister Chrystia Freeland this week said Ukraine can become an economic juggernaut and boost European economies by taking up the opportunities it missed after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Her comments come as Ottawa pledges another $235 million for Ukraine through the NATO military alliance, and as the world watches for the latest iteration of a Washington-brokered deal to end Russia’s war on Ukraine.

Freeland spoke Tuesday at a Toronto conference aimed at drumming up investment in Ukraine. It appeared to be her first major speech in Canada since Prime Minister Mark Carney appointed her as special envoy for the reconstruction of Ukraine.

Freeland’s appointment is a clear conflict of interest. Canada has taken a back seat to Ukraine’s grift machine.

Revealed: Maduro’s terms of surrender to Trump

Venezuelan president’s blanket amnesty demand for top officials is deal-breaker for Washington

Venezuela’s president asked to keep $200m of his private wealth, amnesty for his officials and safe harbour in a friendly country as part of a deal with Donald Trump to step down and flee, sources said.

Those familiar with a phone call between the two leaders told The Telegraph that the plan fell apart owing to Nicolas Maduro’s demands for a blanket amnesty for as many as 100 top officials.

During the 15-minute call, the two leaders also disagreed on how to set up a transitional government and on the location Mr Maduro would flee to from Venezuela.

John Ivison: An assisted-suicide political time bomb is ticking for Mark Carney

Prime Minister Mark Carney has displayed a remarkable willingness to dismantle the legacy of his predecessor across the public policy board.

In the coming months, he may be tempted to take another look at one of the more indefensible decisions made by former prime minister Justin Trudeau’s government: the expansion of its medical assistance in dying legislation.

Sweden Sent Millions to Extremist-Linked Groups

Swedish taxpayers have been funding organisations tied to extremism, a leading political scientist warns, including a mosque that Sweden’s security service says has been used as an intelligence hub for the Iranian regime.

The Imam Ali Islamic Centre in Järfälla received 3.2 million kronor (€292,000) in 2023 from the Swedish Agency for Support for Religious Communities (SST). The money was channelled via the Islamic Shia Associations in Sweden (ISS), which shares the mosque’s address and has taken in 28.5 million kronor (€2.6 million) in subsidies since 2006. In total, SST handed out 80 million kronor (€7.3 million) to religious groups last year.

Leak of F-35 scoring chart puts pressure on Carney to select U.S. aircraft

The public relations war between supporters of the F-35 and Gripen has taken another twist as an internal Department of National Defence document comparing the two fighter jets has been leaked.

Canada’s fighter jet debate continues with still no decision from Prime Minister Mark Carney on which aircraft his government will purchase. The choice comes down to the U.S.-built F-35 versus the Swedish Gripen fighter aircraft. Some analysts are also proposing a combination fleet of both jets to meet the Canadian military’s needs.

What latest Ukraine talks reveal about Putin’s state of mind

What does the latest round of diplomacy on Ukraine tell us about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s mood and intentions?

For starters, that he’s not ready to sign a peace deal. At least, not right now.

And certainly not the deal (or deals) on the table.

“No compromise version has yet been found,” commented Kremlin foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov after five hours of talks in Moscow involving Putin, US envoy Steve Witkoff, and Donald Trump’s adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner.

No compromise is no real surprise, considering the Kremlin leader’s uncompromising comments in recent days.
