Democrats have settled on a new line in their effort to defuse the underlying claims against Joe Biden, which are increasingly substantiated by the details emerging from congressional Republicans’ investigations into Hunter Biden’s conduct.

As promised, Hunter Biden’s former business partner at Rosemont Seneca, Devon Archer, showed up to offer closed-door testimony to the House Oversight Committee and he had plenty to say. According to James Comer, Archer identified President Joe Biden as “the brand” back when he was Vice President, and Hunter Biden sold “the brand” around the world. He told the committee about at least twenty business meetings he and Hunter held with foreign entities where The Big Guy was either on the phone or there in person. He also testified about various “favors” that these clients wanted and received from Joe Biden in exchange for paying off Hunter and company. And the list of “clients” continues to grow.

A source familiar with Archer’s nearly four-hour closed-door interview said that Archer testified that Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings added Hunter to its board in early 2014 because of the Biden “brand” as his dad led US policy toward Ukraine.

The Department of Justice is claiming it did not call for Hunter Biden’s business partner Devon Archer to be jailed before his congressional testimony today, following an ‘odd’ letter on July 29 that Republicans slammed as an attempt to ‘intimidate’ their star witness.
Archer, a friend and business partner of Hunter Biden, is expected to provide the House Oversight Committee bombshell details that will challenge the White House’s insistence that Joe Biden has never had any knowledge of or involvement in his wayward son’s business affairs.
House Oversight Chairman James Comer said the Justice Department was acting unusually by sending a letter to a New York judge over the weekend calling for Archer’s sentencing for an unrelated fraud conviction to be expedited.
The word “enormity” is oft misused in modern conversation. Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop is filled with contracts and agreements between him and foreign business partners that could shine new light on his business dealings, and potentially implicate his father, insiders around the first son told The Post.

Moreover, they add, that connection is not just unproven, it cannot be proved because it didn’t exist. That’s false, although the mainstream media has repeated it faithfully. But even the most feckless are finding it increasingly difficult to sustain this awkward lip-syncing with the White House press office.

This was one of the questions I was naturally asked while doing some legal analysis of the Delaware Demolition in which Hunter Biden’s sweetheart plea deal went up in smoke on Wednesday.
My reply: “Go to trial . . . on what?”
That should be a dumb question to which the usual answer is, “The indictment, of course.” But see, here’s the thing: President Biden’s Justice Department has never filed an indictment against President Biden’s son. Why? Well, for the same reason the sweetheart deal blew up. The fatal flaw of the agreement written by Biden prosecutors is that it failed to describe in detail the criminal charges for which Hunter Biden was receiving immunity.

Democrats hoped that a quiet plea agreement would put an end to media coverage of Hunter Biden’s misbehaviour. Instead, court proceedings confirmed Republicans’ claims that the underlying crimes were more extensive — and the deal more favourable — than anyone in the White House and the mainstream press was willing to admit.

Despite the drip drip drip of revelations that Joe Biden, as vice president, was indeed directly involved in his son Hunter Biden’s business dealings, the Cackling Coven of Disney and ABC’s The View initially played dumb then shifted to defending the alleged actions of Hunter and Joe. The faux conservative on the panel even suggested the “good members” of the Republican conference would “never” want to impeach President Biden and it was a “joke” to do so.
