Josh Alexander, the Christian teen whose views on gender got him arrested by his Catholic school, has been fighting for months to get back into class.
Fortunately, the 17-year-old has just won a court battle that allows him to appeal his expulsion from St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in Renfrew, Ont.
Friday’s edition of the tax-supported PBS NewsHour reacted with alarm about the news that what the left calls “gender-affirming medical care” for children (i.e., puberty blockers, hormone treatments, and irrevocable surgeries) has been outlawed in Texas. It featured reporter Laura Barron-Lopez, surely busy between her fixation on teenage gender dysphoria and her official job as NewsHour’s White House correspondent.
The destructive fad is off the rails – and every parent must be ready to act.
As I noted recently, fads aren’t always harmful things. Nehru jackets, lava lamps, and mood rings may have set you back a few bucks, but that was the extent of it. Some fads, like the various eating disorders that were with us in the 1970s, were recognized as dangerous and treated as mental health problems. Today, though, becoming transsexual is treated simply as a lifestyle decision.
For a while, I thought: “why aren’t they more embarrassed? When male sportspeople barge into female categories, stealing places on teams and prizes reserved for women, why don’t they feel a bit, well, ashamed?”

Western Heights Public School District in Oklahoma is defending its decision to hire a drag queen who was arrested on child porn charges, the Daily Caller has learned.
Dr. Shane Brent Murnan, 52, was hired as an elementary school principal at John Glenn Elementary, the Substack V1sut first reported. In a Facebook post, Murnan celebrated a “new district and new respect,” according to the report. Murnan’s personal Facebook page appears to have since been deleted.
I think burning at the stake is going to be making a comeback.

Politicians should stop using confusion over trans issues as dog whistle for intolerance
Scott Moe’s conservative government in Saskatchewan is emulating Blaine Higgs’s conservative government in New Brunswick by requiring teachers to obtain the consent of parents before a student may change their name or pronoun at school.
Polls suggest a large majority of Canadians support the measures. The majority is wrong. The politicians are wrong.
Conservative politicians are using confusion over trans issues as a dog whistle for LGBTQ+ intolerance. They should stop.
Well-meaning people can be forgiven for believing that parents, not the state, are best equipped to handle gender dysphoria among youth.

Saskatchewan is joining New Brunswick in an unseemly political manoeuvre, using the sensitive issue of gender identity to gain the support of certain voters at the expense of the fundamental right to equality.
If it were an oblique attack against people for who they are in terms of their religion or ethnicity, calling out that prejudice would be a slam dunk. Most segments of our society would denounce it. No serious politician would ever get close to it.

Testimony, or Evidence?
One might think the fact that the medical establishment is endorsing and performing experimental, irreversible, and often sterilizing medical procedures on children would be an immense journalistic discovery. But a recent New York Times article—investigating allegations made by Jamie Reed, a former case manager at the Washington University Transgender Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital who blew the whistle on medical malpractice at the clinic traveling under the guise of “gender-affirming care”—downplays the results of that discovery in a way that privileges personal testimony over evidence.
A lawsuit filed by sorority members at the University of Wyoming to block a transgender woman from joining has been dismissed by a judge — despite allegations the student was a “sexual predator” who got physically aroused around them.
Since the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority bylaws do not define what a “woman” is, Wyoming US District Judge Alan Johnson ruled he could not proceed with the lawsuit and dismissed the matter on Friday, according to reports.
“With its inquiry beginning and ending there, the court will not define a ‘woman’ today,” Johnson wrote.
