Two Alberta churches launch constitutional challenge of public health orders

The lawsuit, which was filed by the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF), names Heights Baptist Church and Northside Baptist Church as the two applicants. The churches are located in Medicine Hat and Calgary, respectively.

According to the JCCF, the government violated the following rights of churchgoers by implementing coronavirus-related lockdown orders: the right to peaceful assembly, the right to travel, the right to conduct a business to earn a living, the right to visit family and friends and the right to peaceful assembly.

Last week, Canadians witnessed the arrest of Adam Skelly – a restaurant owner in Toronto who dared to disobey John Tory’s draconian edicts. Dozens of Toronto police officers surrounded the restaurant and police put up barricades around the perimeter to prevent any customer from going in to get a BBQ sandwich.

‘COVID Karens’ call police on (compliant!) Fitness Connection in Toronto

Fitness facilities in York Region and the City of Toronto are in lockdown mode. But gyms are sort of still open in York Region. You see, while the authorities have allowed gyms like Fitness Connection to operate, the limitations are so severe it almost doesn’t make sense to open the doors in the first place.

As Fitness Connection co-owner Mike Mak told me, a gym can only have 10 people on the floor at one time. It doesn’t matter how large your gym is — whether it be a mega stadium or a boutique — you can only have 10 people.

What Do You Think Of The New “COVID Vaccination Cards” That Were Just Revealed To The Public?

This week, the U.S. Department of Defense unveiled the very first images of the “COVID-19 vaccination record cards” that will be given to every person that gets one of the COVID-19 vaccines.

Now that such a record is going to be available, it is probably inevitable that some schools, businesses and government entities will want to starting requiring people to provide “proof of vaccination”.
