Leftists Excited to Begin Cannibalizing the Elderly

Leftists Excited to Begin Cannibalizing the Elderly

Did you live a self-reliant, constructive life? Did you play by the rules, work hard, raise your kids to be productive members of society, save up, and arrive in seniority well-provisioned for your well-earned golden years?

Sucker!

If you simply reverse the direction of each of the Ten Commandments, you arrive at the leftist version. Among these is the Marxist tenet of weaponized envy — Thou shalt covet — and its corollary, Thou shalt steal.

Mamdani’s East Harlem Grocery Store Boondoggle

Mamdani’s East Harlem Grocery Store Boondoggle

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has announced the first location for one of the five promised city-owned grocery stores. The 9,000 square-foot store will be built on a city-owned vacant site under the Metro-North railroad viaduct at La Marqueta, near Park Avenue and East 116th Street, in Manhattan’s East Harlem neighborhood.

The city will finance the store’s construction with $30 million from the capital budget. The store will have no debt service. Though privately operated, it will pay no rent or property tax.

Ireland Is Playing With Holy Fire

Last week, the Irish government released a St. Brigid’s Day video that mocks the Catholic saint while celebrating abortion and gay marriage. The video shows a cloaked figure—a pagan witch—carrying fire from one feminist milestone to the next, boasting images from when Ireland redefined marriage and created a constitutional right to abortion. The Irish government elite confused (or conflated) the Catholic saint with an old Gaelic goddess of the same name. This was not merely a mistake. It is the latest example of the elite’s contempt for Ireland’s Catholic heritage.

Things Fall Apart; The Center Cannot Hold

Yesterday, I wrote about toxic empathy posing a dire threat to Western society. What makes this kind of empathy “toxic” is not that it is empathy, which is a characteristic that is necessary for the formation of a conscience, but rather that it is selective and, in many cases, unlimited.

People identified as deserving of empathy get infinite forgiveness for the most egregious actions, while those seen as “oppressors” deserve none at all and, in fact, should be punished and silenced for objecting to demands they submit to the will of the “oppressed.” It’s all based on an ever-changing and immensely complicated intersectional ladder of oppression, where points are assigned for various degrees of victimhood.

Peaceful Protestors Don’t Carry Loaded Pistols

Alex Pretti would be alive today had he not been armed while interfering with an ICE operation.

It was hardly necessary to read the headlines Sunday morning to know that the corporate media, like Minnesota’s irresponsible governor Tim Walz, would effectively accuse federal immigration officers of brutally executing Alex Pretti. For example, a New York Times “analysis” fails to mention that Pretti was an anti-ICE activist who had just interfered with the apprehension of a criminal suspect, and was violently resisting arrest when the officers realized he was armed. The Times falsely claims, “An agent had already removed Mr. Pretti’s gun when two other agents opened fire, shooting him in the back as he lay on the ground.” No honest analysis of this episode could lead to this conclusion.

Jennifer Welch, Irrational, Incensed, And Dangerous, Is The Democrat Party

The Democrat who people most need to be paying attention to right now isn’t in Congress and isn’t expected to run for president. It’s Jennifer Welch, the gaunt, puckered up nag who hosts a popular podcast and who now proudly displays on a regular basis just how dark and decayed the left’s collective soul has become.

Meet the Anti-Cop Activists Who Will Advise Mamdani on Criminal Justice

Many members of the mayor-elect’s Committee on Community Safety have long histories of anti-law-enforcement radicalism.

Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani wants to reimagine public safety in New York City. On the campaign trail, he promised to devote more than $1 billion to the “Department of Community Safety,” a new agency that will “tak[e] a public health approach to safety.”

But what will his agenda look like in practice? Late last month, the mayor-elect released the roster of his transition team’s Committee on Community Safety, a 26-person group that will advise him on criminal-justice and related issues. The list contains several activists who are not only openly hostile to law enforcement but also reject the very concept of carceral punishment.

Of course young white men hate the Left—It hates them

Andrea Dworkin – founder, League of Batshit Crazy Feminists

The Toronto Star has once again graced us with its wisdom. In a piece penned by one Craig A. Johnson—presumably not the sort of chap who’d last five minutes in an Alberta oil patch—the Star wrings its hands over the left’s tragic loss of young men to the dastardly right. “The left needs to learn how to talk to young men—or it will keep losing them,” wails the headline, as if these wayward lads are lost puppies rather than thinking adults who’ve had quite enough of being lectured on their “privileges” while scraping by in Trudeau’s inflation-ravaged economy.

Watch white leftist women’s brains breaking—and repairing—in real-time

One of the virtues of being a mentally healthy person in an honest society is that you don’t have to deal with cognitive dissonance. That is, there are no moments when you are forced to accept two entirely conflicting facts or values. Instead, you have the mental freedom to work through the conflict and come out with an honest evaluation.

How Bill Maher Reacted to NPR CEO’s Congressional Hearing Will Probably Shock Libs

The HBO host made these remarks during the Overtime part of Real Time, but one thing was clear: the comedian is in favor of defunding National Public Radio. Bill Maher described the outlet as crazy far-left and ripped apart its CEO, Katherine Maher, no relation, who delivered a most unbelievable congressional testimony this week…

Expert Warns of Potential Riots, Chaos at Democrat Convention

Vietnam War-era protests are among the most well-known and well-documented movements in U.S. history, notoriously culminating in the violent clashes during the 1968 Democratic National Convention (DNC). As Election Day nears in the U.S., striking parallels are emerging – protests against U.S. involvement in foreign conflicts, a deteriorating financial situation, and rising tensions on all fronts. It’s hard not to wonder if history is repeating itself.

Unless Kamala denounces Israel, and that is entirely possible, Chicago will be fiery but peaceful if yesterday’s antics are an indication.

The shamelessness of Hope not Hate

You would think that a group called ‘Hope not Hate’ would have a lot of important things to talk about at the moment. It could look at how the threat of Islamist extremism is corrupting our democracy, for instance. It might raise the alarm about the MPs unwilling to vote with their conscience when it comes to Gaza because they are ‘terrified’. Or point to Mike Freer, who after years of death threats was recently forced to resign as an MP. Hope not Hate might also have investigated the appalling ‘hate marches’ we’ve seen since 7 October, which brought anti-Semitic slogans and chants of ‘jihad’ to the streets of London – or the people with links to Hamas that have helped organise them. There’s certainly been no shortage of hate in Britain this past year.

Hope Not Hate is the Brit Bernie Farber.

The Guardian’s links to the slave trade

Its founding myth depends on moral contortionism

The Guardian prides itself on being one of the most Left-leaning and anti-racist news outlets in the English-speaking world. So imagine its embarrassment when, last month, a number of black podcast producers researching the paper’s historic ties to slavery abruptly resigned, alleging they had been victims of “institutional racism”, “editorial whiteness”, “microaggressions, colourism, bullying, passive-aggressive and obstructive management styles”. All of this might smack of progressive excess, but, in reality, it merely reflects an institution incuriously at odds with itself.
