For years, Ipsos has been asking individuals around the world for their opinions on Queer people. And for years, the pollster has found, those opinions have steadily improved. People had been growing more and more supportive of the LGBTQ community with each passing year, especially in Canada.
In 2011, more than six-in-ten Canadians said people should be open about their sexual orientation and gender identity; even more voiced support for anti-discrimination laws; more, still, endorsed Queer couples adopting children.
But this year, those trends suddenly reversed.

Anyone who’s been paying attention to queer politics will have noticed that activist language never stands still but constantly marches Leftward.
Words like “homosexuality” and “gay” have either been written out of the lexicon or redefined in ways that would be unrecognisable to gay activists from the last century. The word “queer” itself has been reclaimed from its origins as a slur to a badge of defiance.
Back in April, Joe Biden, following in Barack Obama’s footsteps, unilaterally changed Title IX, which protects women and girls from discrimination in education, by reinterpreting the law to treat “gender identity” the same as biological sex. This move allowed biological males to play women’s sports and gave them access to scholarships intended for women, as well as women’s locker rooms, private spaces, and single-sex housing.
A new letter obtained from transgender killer Audrey Hale revealed that prior to killing three adults and three nine-year-olds at the Covenant Christian School in Nashville, Tennessee, she wrote about her “imaginary penis” and how she would “kill” to get puberty blockers.
Back in March of 2023, Audrey Hale shot and killed three individuals before being shot down by law enforcement. Now, just over a year later, four dozen pages of Hale’s writings have been obtained. Those writings include notes of her delusional sense of identity and mental confusion, which led to her attack on the school.
Monika Magashazi is a fighter. The 52-year old trans woman lives in Hungary — a country that has been ruled by Viktor Orban’s nationalist Fidesz party since 2010.

In them, members drop the euphemisms and doublespeak that characterize their public-facing comments in exchange for frank discussions about how to navigate the challenges and complications arising from their gender-based medical interventions.
Junior competitive tennis coach Michael Paduch is aware that he’s wading into an emotionally charged debate by questioning a new policy that allows transgender players to compete against other girls, “without restriction.”
“It’s a complex issue; it’s an issue a lot of people care about,” Paduch said. “But I have a keen interest in ensuring that female tennis in Canada is not affected negatively by policies that are put in place.”
